If the multiplayer beta was any indication of game improvements, it's going to be pretty damn awesome. GOY if it wasn't releasing in the same year as Skyrim to be frank.

The series as a whole is overcriticized because where gameplay is concerned, it doesn't seem to be better than any other game of its kind in any particular area. On the surface, it seems like a duller Prince of Persia with some mildly entertaining but kitschy combat animations and repetitive mechanics.
I still haven't figured out why franchises like Metal Gear are praised for having intricate and rewarding plots but still remaining action-oriented and Assassin's Creed does not get the same consideration. Red Dead Redemption was praised for its story (which I still think is impressively stupid when you look at the big picture, regardless of how interesting some of the dialog may be. I digress), but Assassin's Creed is somehow this "big, dumb, and violent" game for kids who want to be Batman without the pussy no killing principle.

They announced today on the FB feed that the Playstation 3 version will have the original Assassin's Creed included.

My favorite game ever. The history and architecture are amazing. I loved the architecture in ac2 the best. Venice was incredible. I never played the first one until after I beat ac2 and it is incredibly NOT FUN to play. the gameplay of the others spoiled me.

Really hoping PSN drops the price of AC: Brotherhood since this was released. Just finished up AC2 and looking to beat Brotherhood before starting to think about this one. Pretty excited though!

TOO....MANY....GAMES!!
Dammit! Why did they all have to be released right now? I'm not made of money.
