It makes sense to announce a new fallout game. Do i realistically think we see anything of this anytime soon if ever? no. Do i think it will be what we hope it will be? also no.
Firing a quarter of the team responsible for this, most of which were developers with a lot of experience doesnt help. Kinda shooting yourself in the foot.
It's possible they will make an Outer Worlds 2 level experience or one slightly better.
I liked Avowed for what it was. Felt like a spiritual successors to Dark Messiah but the mobile esque gear progression system just killed it for me. I'd like to see a sequel to Avowed with the gear upgrading removed completely allowing the gameplay mechanics to stand on their own.

Supposedly we're getting FO3 remaster next year and then NV remaster in 2028. Would they really put out a new game in the middle of that? Seems like it would hurt sales for one of them by releasing three FO games so close together.

Bethesda probably isn't even part of it,
But the remakes will likely sell regardless

All of the writers of New Vegas will be there except for 1, who left years ago iirc

Wait 6 years and 100 million into south of midnight wasn’t a solid sound financially wise investing play?
Someone should’ve maybe told retard Phil during that 6 year period
I drank the kool-aid on Phil Spencer. Recent events make it clear he was just running a bottomless checkbook operation.
Fast forward a few years and we'll start hearing complaints about XBOX not giving developers enough freedom and lots of whining about "deadline crunch."

I've heard the studio who did the Oblivian remaster is doing FO3 and NV. If Obsidian is doing the next Fallout then Bethesda can fully concentrate on Elder Scrolls 6. I wonder if it's possible to have three Fallout games and a new ES in the next 2-3 years. Seems like you'd want to space them out more.
