Actually, I had no idea Gamescon was going on. Is that just a smaller E3?

Bigger.

Only smaller to us because some much of the media covering games is based in the US. Hundreds of thousands of people will attend. LINK

Trade shows in general have lost their big impact as each publisher has done their own events throughout the year.

Most overrated poster ever. Just because he was boring, everyone thought he was good.

I would say it's smaller to us and people in general because Sony skips it now.

They replaced it with Paris Games Week a few years ago.

In terms of # of people, it's a lot bigger. 300,000 people attend

That is due to how they are run though right? E3 is hard to get a ticket for, you have to have a connection to the gaming industry. Not open to public.

Gamescon is open to public.

I think E3 could top Gamescon if it wanted to?

Is it really

I had to look that up, they sold 15,000 public tickets in 2017.

I cannot find 2018 numbers, but I am going to go out on a limb and say it is not 300,000 tickets.

E3 could be bigger if they went with the GamesCon ticket model.
