IGN
I was under the impression there was no bluetooth component and I could've easily used this the past few weeks.
I guess better late than never

Starting today, Switch owners who update their Switch to the latest software can pair a wireless Bluetooth device to the Switch. Something the Switch was apparently able to do this entire time given the right software patch.
To do so Switch owners must download the latest firmware patch. From there, they can find a Bluetooth Audio option within the System Settings page. Once you select “Pair” the Switch will search for an available Bluetooth audio device and connect to one when found.
The Switch can only be synced to one audio device at a time but can save up to 10 devices on the system.

Wish more consoles would adopt this. Wireless Bluetooth headphones could be nice regardless of platform. I have some great wired headphones when I want higher fidelity sound and comms, but I sometimes want something less clunky.
Could make for a better party chat solution for Nintendo if they ever wanted to improve their social features. frick using that app. Give us parties and direct messaging/invite capabilities.

this is another one that I don't understand. How hard is it for them to make something similar to the xbox or ps?

Nintendo just doesn’t want to have to worry with online toxicity or curating their online service anymore than they already do which is barely at all.

Now that I have a switch I'll actually start paying attention to this. A lot of it is "really.....it couldn't do that?"

That thought never even crossed my mind, but now I completely understand from all the years I had on xbox live as a kid

So how pissed are all the folks who have bought BT adapters over the years, since it turns out it was integrated into the hardware this whole time?
