I picked up Donkey Kong on Friday and have been playing through it when I can. I’m really enjoying it. The boss fights are a bit too easy but other than that no complaints. Feels like a mash up of Mario Odyssey and Breath of the Wild.

I only got to the part where the Mining city falls into the big hole, but will pick it up this weekend. It's been pretty fun, but y'all are absolutely right - this is not something for someone who's given to "completionist" mentality.

Im ready to buy another game but cant figure out if I want to pull the trigger on DK or hogwarts legacy. Howgwarts is one I have been wanting for a while but did not want to pull the trigger until the Switch 2 came out, but the reviews on DK are so good I am not sure I do not want to scoop that one first

Wait till Black Friday or some other sale date for Hogwarts Legacy. I think I paid under $30 for it last year.

The question would be whether they were putting it on sale to entice people to buy a guy that was obviously lesser than its counter parts on other platforms

I know I'm very late, but I never had a Switch 1... enjoying the hell out of Super Mario Odyssey on Switch 2 (looks great... of course I cannot compare it to how it looked before). On the first big world (Tostarena Town) and going for everything I can find even though I have well enough moons to move on.

These prices were in effect and then Target rolled them back. Not clear if that's because the official date is 8/3 or these prices are just incorrect (I'd guess the former).

Bonanza on sale at Costco for $63 right now. Was $63 on Amazon yesterday, but looks like they already marked it back up.
Also, if you haven't already, I'd sign up for dekudeals to get notified about sales. If you create a wishlist of games you want, they'll send you an email whenever someplace puts that game on sale. It also keeps track of previous sales so you can get an idea on if the price you're getting is good or not.

Seems crazy to raise the prices so much for an 8 year old system. Can you imagine Nintendo doing this for SNES in 1999? Glad I got my Switch OLED bundle with Mario Kart 8 on black Friday last year for $275.
