I only got through 5% of God of War because that game was never meant to be Open World. Those games should always be linear. Hope they go to Egypt with their follow up.
I’d be down with Assassin’s Creed doing a Viking environment next. After that, do an Asian one. Maybe both China and Japan. After that, give me South America.

Crazy to think Ubisoft makes the better titles.
I mean, they have Assassin's Creed and maybe throw Far Cry in there (although the last two titles weren't very well received). Outside of that, you have the Division, Watch Dogs, Ghost Recon, and The Crew. None of those franchises are setting the world on fire.

Watch Dogs 2 was a really good game, Ghost Recon is a great co-op experience, and you conveniently forgot one of the top online MP games going, Rainbow Six Siege, a game they didn't abandon and made it a juggernaut.
I haven't played the Crew so I won't speak to that.
I'm currently playing through Far Cry 5 and it's a hell of a game. I know the big knock on it was how it failed to go all in with the religious cult angle, but story has me so far.

at least when I endorse something, people know that it's a well-made, quality game.
Can vouch for this

Except for Resident Evil 2. I still don’t understand why a human being would willingly put themselves through that much emotional distress with their leisure time.

I thought The boat stuff in Black flag was pretty fun.
Overall I thought Black Flag was incredible.
I think There is a fine line between fun customization and excess clutter.
I think Maybe the Egyptian one got a little too much with all the different parts

They owned the crown since 2017 with Origins.
There is only one true king.
And that is CDPR.

If only their games were fun to play...

Black Flag was awesome and the island setting was beautiful. The ship aspect was obviously needed but towards the end of it I had grown tired of sailing everywhere and hated having to upgrade my ship. Which is why I disliked them in the later versions. Just seemed more like a chore imo and was a drag.
Origins was legit, I never played Odyssey.

I mena I love Assasins Creed but yeah it is like the same fight sequence over and over with an awesome storyline in between, but so is Skyrim.

quote:yea. i started with 3 is was good, then Black flag and it was great! I got burned with Unity. So i skipped Syndicate. But Origins brought me back. Still have yet to play Odyssey. Might need to pick up a used copy.

Assassins Creed was in a slump before Origins, glad it’s back
They should have never gone into the annual release cycle. Origins to Odyssey worked fine but I'm glad they're taking another year this time.

Just starting off with Odyssey, but there was nothing boring about Origins.
Posted on 4/9/19 at 8:59 pm to CarRamrod
I only didn't play unity and haven't started Odyssey yet. I thought 3 was the worst. Syndicate was average.

Assassins creed is boring in any title
Posted on 4/9/19 at 11:01 pm to Hu_Flung_Pu
So you probably haven't played one since 3, if any at all.

Yet you said CDPR puts out nothing fun to play.

That's not in reference to content. Controlling Geralt is like dragging a paraplegic drunk ox through a mud hole.

Learn to play better? I never had any issues.
