I’ve been trying to prolong this as much as possible before completing the main story, but I’m basically out of available tasks and challenges at this point. I’ve pretty much 100% completed all that Arthur is capable of...

I love this game. This is one of my favorites or possibly my favorite game I’ve ever played. I’ve put more hours into this than BOTW or any GTA.

I’m thinking about starting Ghost of Tsushima at some point down the line when RDR2 is over. I’ve read some reviews and comparisons with similarities and differences online, but I’m curious how RDR2 fans here would compare the two and if this is a worthwhile jump.

Or any other open world games more highly recommended instead?

ghost is very good and the combat is amazing. you aren't gonna get that same emotional connection with the main character tho. it just isn't possible. Arthur was

i'd recommend the jump to Ghost of Tsushima or maybe Last of Us 2 (i'm still waiting on a sale to buy it) or Days Gone.

God of War is excellent as well but obviously not as open world

I loved both RDR2 and Ghost of Tsushima.

Ghost did take me a few 1-2 hour sessions to get hooked, but once I did I couldn't stop playing.

I can't recommend this enough if you missed it. I just bought a ps4 a few months back during quarantine. I haven't had a playstation since the PS2 so I missed some games and I played The Last of Us and then Horizon and holy shite I loved this game. I think I put about 70 hours into it.

Horizon zero dawn and got are very similar from a mechanics standpoint. Climbing and exploring are nearly identical, combat is pretty similar. Got has a bit more variety, but hzd has more mystery in the plot to uncover. Both excellent games IMO. I am currently working my way through got, and completed hzd when it first came out.

HZD was an amazing game. Something about taking down the powerful machines was so satisfying.

I think ghost is the perfect transition from RDR2. You'll fall in love with it but give it a little bit to pick up. I'm going to start my 2nd go at it asap in the 'samurai cinema' mode.

So the rumor that RDR2 was going to be on Switch was false.

Ghosts is an amazing game, one of the very few (Horizon Zero Dawn is another) that I bothered to platinum on the ps4. Can't go wrong with it. Like others have mentioned Horizon Zero Dawn is also excellent as well as God of War.

My only slight issue with God of War was that it wreaked havoc on my wrists due to various tendonitis / carpal issues with the huge amount of button hitting combos, didn't have any of those problems with RDR2 or HZD or Ghosts

Thanks for the recommendations. I just bought it today. I'll start sometime in next couple months I'd guess. I'll save Ghost of Tsushima for later down the line.

Very disappointed on how RDR2 apparently glitched me out of 100% completion. I'm north of 98% but have no hope to complete at this point. And I can't find solutions to my problems online.

I'm missing the rock carvings. I found my first one organically while treasure hunting very early in the game before beginning the actual mission quest. So that rock carving never showed up on my map even after revisiting it as John. It says 10/10 found... but doesn't give me opportunity to send/post it.

Also herbalist 9, I was very diligent and made a checklist and used online maps to find all locations. I was in the middle of an exotics mission when I picked the Lady Slipper Orchid and it didn't register. And it's never registered since. I've picked about 10 since hoping it changes. But it never does.

It's really frustrating. Especially since I did WAY more than is required for 100%. No side quest or cabin or random encounter or stone left unturned...
