Some people get a bad taste in their mouth and completely give up.
I disliked the released version, but the Nov. patch, plus adjusted sliders, really brought me back. Playing an online dynasty right now and I'm thoroughly pleased.
You play with adjusted sliders or no? I never have before, but I tried it and whoa, it's like a whole new game.

Adjusted sliders are nice. Adjusting the speed threshold is fun as well. Add me we can play some times LLJAELL

Exactly. I play with the threshold at zero. It seems to play the most realistic, where speed actually means something.
Some of my sliders are at or near zero, as well. Some people would think I'm nuts, but I actually followed someone else's template.

Here is what will happen with the New NCAA.
Game play will be the same, and they may actually eliminate some game play features in order to add in the all new, senior selection day! Now you can see fictional recruits sit down at a table and pick a hat.
Truly an integral part of the college experience.

They sold because the previous game was awesome, and there was a massive advertising campaign.
Most will tell you that MW3 and Madden were extremely disappointing.

On second thought, instead of wading through the mass of pages for the answers, what are the restrictions on team selection, how often is the dynasty advanced, anything else important I should know?

No restriction, if you pick a team that is 99 overall without building them it is frowned upon. Advance 2-3 times a week, there is a mass text message so you will know. You can see who is who on the first page. I can text the commish and get you an invite if interested. Off season starts at 9.

Insinuating that the drag of recruiting adds to the realism should have you complaining that there aren't boards and boosters to appease.
I want realistic gameplay, nobody wants realistic tedium involved in day to day program operation.
