Remember the first version of this thread hit 1,000+ pages. That was impressive.
Of course 734 of that was drama. And how badass Stephon Diggs was.

Rebel, I saw you had 4 restarts. We allow one a season. You are new and we'll let it slide this time, but if anyone has restarts their games are subject to be thrown out and simulated.
This is mainly for the new users. Since we are on the subject of rules, please make sure when there is a user vs user to mix up your plays. The idea is to play this game how a true college game is played in real life. The rules are all on page one. Please read them and go back to them if you have a question about something.

I hope I wasn't doing that too much. I really tried to open up my playbook but I wasn't comfortable with airing it out too much after being picked off twice.
I used read option twice so at least I wasn't using cheap plays too much.

#2 Ohio State goes down in Reiser Stadium 63-38.
The offense was firing on all cylinders and the defense was swarming again.
Patrick Perez played well again completing 16-21 361 yards and 3td's.
Running back Nick Fields had a nice game as well, with the play of the game on the first drive of the game on a 3rd and 3. Fields ran up the middle with a few blocks and took it to the house 78 yards for the TD. Fields finished with 14 carries for 163 yards 4 tds.
Special teams even returned a kickoff.
I have a BYE next week and then take on Nebraska (Peaster). That will be a true test for my team.

Michigan State outlasts Iowa State 28-24
The Cyclones weren't able to make many defensive stops against the Spartans and Micnigan State took advantage of every opportunity they were given.
The Cyclones' star running back Mike Warren put on his best Superman impression going for 137 yards on 21 carries and grabbing two touchdowns. Cyclone quarterback Darius Lee-Campbell completed 17 of his 32 attempts for 180 yards and gained a touchdown.
Michigan State quarterback Shaun O'Neal torched the Cyclone secondary going 17 of 24 for 265 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Iowa State's defense was unable to pressure the QB which exposed their secondary. The line backing corps showed up big and limited the Spartans to only 22 yards rushing.
I have to travel to #10 Clemson next week so I get no time to heal the wounds from this loss. Things need to turn around fast on this defense or the Cyclones might not get to .500

Won't happen again. Kept having to go do other stuff and my power saving settings were set a bit aggressive so it was off every time I came back.
I was leading 3 of them at half when it shut off
Ended up winning 53-51 on a fourth down stop.

It's all good man. The main reasons or the restart rule, is we have had issues in the past where teams went undefeated, but someone had a questionable amount of restarts. That user prevented someone who didn't have restarts and went undefeated from playing in the championship game.
Also, if you are looking at your schedule like WTF? The league has always given A to A+ schedule rankings. This means your out of conference games are usually ranked opponents at the time the schedules were made. The reason for this is to make the league competitive and to knock off the ranked CPU teams and get them out of the way so two users can play in the Championship game. It also helps your conference, team prestige and recruiting.
If you stay in the league the entire first season and see that you are influencing recruits to come to your school, I guarantee you will want to stay in and enjoy the league more and more. We have a good group of guys who have played together season after season and even though, I have and continue to struggle against users, I still love it and have fun playing.
After your 2nd season in the league you can take another coaching opportunity if offered one. You must remain at any school you choose for two seasons. The reason for this is to give everyone a chance to better their situation, as well as suffer if you make the wrong decision. I hope you will have fun and continue to be active on the message boards. It doesn't have to be league talk all the time.

The CPU every now and then decides to, what we refer as, go into "frick you" mode. I have played this game for year, and I will consistently beat CPU opponents. However at least once a year I will be playing a game where I just cannot stop the CPU on offense and they might make some ridiculous INTs. Normally I'll be down in the second half but manage to fight back and win by single digits. It takes time, but you will recognize when the CPU is in "frick you" mode and be extremely cautious with your throws, I'll try to play more aggressive on defense as well figuring that they will probably score anyway.

I only threw one interception but I gunned a ball to my WR on the goal line about to score and he fumbled the damn ball. I was blitzing on almost every down and their offensive line kept the pocket clean with 7 guys blitzing. I don't know how to win a game when it's that bad.
It's not surprising though. Once a season as you said there's always one opponent that plays with their hair on fire and you have to raise your level of play to match it. I think the developers added it to the game to simulate the crazy weekends where multiple ranked/good teams lose out of the blue.
It's all good though. My team wasn't very good anyway. I got supremely lucky in week 1.
