on a side note to the fill ins, they will be inserted into the tournament in which the enlisted. which means EricB will have first dibs on a slot and it goes down the list. They will also not be able to pick a particular team. They will have to play with the team that was previously picked for that game.
Does that seem fair?

EricB, if you're out there, you are now in the tourney. the person's spot you took hasn't picked a team yet so you can pick any team you want. just make sure they haven't been picked already.

are we doing this "you play with the team you beat" all the way in the championship? Is the championship gonna be whoever you beat as your team or the original team you picked? just wondering....

well, it's gonna be played in the Sugar Bowl since that'll be the BCS championship game this year. as far as first pick... let me think of something. you guys can discuss as well.

Just thought I'd throw an idea out there. How about if you beat a team then you have the option of using either your own team or their team. So you are continuously earning the rights to play with better teams.

Hey finch, can you give my spot to the next guy waiting? I'm on vacation from work the week of the tourney, but my SO thinks it's a better idea to make plans to go out of town than sit around and play NCAA all week. Blah!
