Oh, one other thing. I filed a complaint with the La Attorney General's office and Microsoft immediately got in touch with me and gave me a guy named Cody who I could call or email with questions. Other than that, you get no contact with them.

Damn. They just don't want people to know about this do they? What is their reasoning for no contact while doing the investigation?

I can still access my profile on xbox.com using my windows live id and password (I changed it on the phone yesterday). I get a page that says this
==============================
Uh oh... that shouldn't have happened.

It appears you've found a glitch in the system.

date: 1/10/2012 9:22:23 PM
code: 49F867642F0E0F
s: q7KeB4D+ajX3cUOHdznk/A==
id: 141df7c8-bf08-4a44-8349-ff4cd61be1ca
req: 48323fb8-6963-457f-a9ec-146b30a142f0
==============================

Does that mean my account isn't locked? Ha I'm gonna be mad. From that error screen I can click my gamertag and it shows everything as it normally would. Tried getting on xbox live last night but wouldn't work so I was under the assumption my account was already locked

Guess they have too many people hacked and don't have time to listen to 12 year olds demand their accounts back.

Not necessarily. This error is pretty common.

This is why I don't buy stuff on xbl. I don't purchase much anyway but when I do ill go to the store and buy a card with microsoft pts. So if my xbl acct gets hacked I won't lose anything.

I usually do too, but I have my CC tied to auto renew through next year.

You can't delete it from your system settings?

No, if you've used a CC to purchase a XBL membership then the CC is tied to that membership until it expires. It cannot be removed with making a phone call and having Microsoft remove it.

Calling Xbox was definitely an experience. At first the customer rep was going to charge me for my remaining month, but not allow me access to Xbox live. I immediately asked him if that sounded sensible and he said policy is policy. I asked to be transferred to a supervisor, who immediately apologized and stated "I have no idea what he is talking about, but his statement is incorrect."

Cliffs:
Took my card off auto-renewal
Info is still on XBOX LIVE till Feb. 1st
Have to call back then to completely remove it.....

they removed mine. i had them cancel auto-renewal, then they canceled my subscription, removed the cc, then sent me some emails with activation codes that run thru december of this year at which point i just have to get another prepaid card

I had a guy last night tell me to enjoy my account because I wouldn't have it for much longer. His name was like Coded1337 and he was talking shite, so I sent him a message when he backed out of the lobby and he responds taht I should be more careful talking shite to someone named Coded.

Now I fear for my life.
