I couldn't really figure out the pinpoint pitching so I just went with Meter

Did y'all use directional hitting or zone hitting?

Zone hitting is the preferred method for the most control. However, as I've noted in above posts, i'm like you and have not played a baseball game in forever. The zone hitting is really difficult to get the hang of.

I've gotten a little better, but i'm really good at hitting my well timed, well positioned pci hits directly to someone.

Could be worse. I’m good at hitting them directly to deep CF. 25ft either direction would’ve been a HR. Such a tease when I see the center fielder get under it.

This message is even better when you have to replay the annoying DD solo that you had just completed

I was doing a moment where I had to hit 3 xbh in one game with McMahon from the Rockies. Blasted a monster HR and a double early on. In the bottom of the ninth I come up with a man on 2nd and tie game. Hit a ball down the line and I round first and head for second. Before I get there the winning run scored and they awarded me with a single and I failed the moment

I’ve always used meter but tried out pulse pitching and liked it more. The meter is so damn fast

Yes, that sucks. Has happened to me a few times.

Does anyone else feel like you get dicked by the umpire vs the cpu? I swear I get zero calls when pitching. Blatant strikes are consistently called balls

I feel you bro, turns out I'm fricking trash at this game too

Time to spend an afternoon raining 3s and playing lockdown D on some fools in The Rec on 2k to make myself feel better maybe tomorrow I'll come back to this game and try to have more patience with the learning curve

I have settled on analog pitching after starting out with meter. Meter just felt impossible to time correctly on the green window

Not with pitching, but I've been called out "looking" on balls that shouldnt be considered strikes countless times

They’re getting killed in the comments on their social media pages for so many issues. I guess it was just a matter of time before they fricked up this game too.

Speaking of baseball games wasn't EA talking about bringing back mvp baseball a few years ago?

So what's the go to? I've been trying zone. I get hits but it's hard as frick. Like, really hard to me.

Is the other option any better? Or what are some tips?

Zone using strike zone 2 camera

I haven’t found it. Not even joking, I’ve found the most success is starting a game, closing the application, and then starting it over again. Seriously. Every time I do that, I go from maybe scoring a run, to like 6-7

I’ve played around with some of the camera angles and don’t like most of them. Can’t seem to get any type of timing down with the strike zone ones. I’ve used zone hitting but suck with it. The others suck too, you are just at the mercy of RNG and in this game, it is brutal.

It’s just the servers are terrible. I feel like they’ve gotten worse over the last few days.

If y’all need a good outfielder that is a decent price I’d recommend Jason Dominguez. 96 speed, mid 70s contact and power stats. He rakes at the plate for me.

For you guys getting used to zone hitting it gets better. One of the YouTube vids I watched said to place your PCI high and inside the plate and try to follow the pitch from there. That way when the high fastball comes you’ll be ready and if it’s a low breaking ball, it’s a tad bit easier to read. From there, I started moving my PCI up and down. Trying to get used to flicking the stick either direction. I’ve won 3 of my last 4 after losing maybe 10 of my previous 12. Im also making contact much more now. I used to be an easy 10+ Ks every game
