MLB The Show 19

We are one month away from release day. It's a game I look forward to every year, however it seems to be getting a bit repetitive. Seems they are only focusing more on the areas of the game I don't play (diamond dynasty and all that crap).
I'm more of a offline franchise person. Also do a little RTTS, but not much. I played through 5-6 season of franchise in 18 so far. I play one game per series. It gives me enough satisfaction, knowing I've played a part in the outcome of plenty of games, but not having to go through all 162 games.
A question I have those is with the OSFM full minors rosters. I have checked out Operation Sports recently, and there seems to be zero info about the roster. That's strange, because the board is usually jumping by now with people discussing these. I saw one mention of not looking for rosters under the OSFM name this year. Does anybody have a clue what is going on with that? Why does it seem to be so hush hush? If not for these rosters, I'm not sure I'll even get the game.

I skipped 18, but was planning on getting 19. But I agree - no OSFM full minor rosters, and I won't bother.

From the very very little I can find, there will be full minors rosters but they will not be listed under OSFM. I don't know why, what they will be listed under, or when they will be released though.

Interesting - I haven't followed OS much recently. I know it's always weeks after the game comes out before they start getting to the good versions of the rosters, so I take that time to play mini games and play nows.

I was planning on moving my franchise over until they were released and I start a new one. That's usually when I mix in my RTTS as well.
What's weird though is that by now there are usually tons of discussions, and people working on the rosters. Apparently the people that are doing them aren't using OS as their main area of communication. The lack of people even talking about it makes it even more weird.

For whatever reason im not interested in this year’s game at all.
They completely destroyed 18 in terms of gameplay. Made pitch speed way too slow and immortals we’re a horribly executed idea. I made World Series every season pretty easily, but I never played more than I had to. Hell, I even went back to 17 and have had no problem finding games to play online there.
This is probably the first year I don’t buy at launch in some time. They need to increase the skill gap and limit retarded errors more than anything in DD.

Yeah, there is so many little things they could do to make Franchise and RTTS really fresh, but it seems they get pretty much ignored every year. I'm not interested at all in the diamond dynasty, pay to play, crap.

I wish we could have the depth of OOTP franchise mode with the pitch-to-pitch gameplay of The Show.

The main thing I wish they would improve would be the scouting. Drafting players is such a crap shoot. Even after you spend tons of time scouting, you still are taking a total shot in the dark when drafting.
They could add so much details to the GM side, with the ability to raise the budget of a team by ticket sales, stadium upgrades, etc. They nailed the game play part of the game, in my opinion. It's tough to beat, but some other areas could provide a major upgrade. They seem like simple adds, but maybe they aren't.

I might pass on it this year tbh. I wish they’d add way more features to franchise mode. Presentation elements too, like studio updates, game check ins, etc.

MLB licensing is not exclusive. Anyone can seek the licenses. It just isn’t ideal for Microsoft to do so because of the stranglehold Sony has here and in Japan/Korea where baseball is also popular.

I just found a thread on Reddit about the rosters. Here is the info.
Ridin (the guy who heads the rosters) began working for OOTP. He also received a letter from OSFM informing him to stop using the name for his rosters. They have been working on a roster set, which they said is completed except for face edits. All they are waiting on now is for the game to drop. So, there will be rosters, but they will be under a different name. We will just have to look out for what that name is.
This is also Ridin's last year of doing them possibly. They may be turning it over to someone else to do for the 2020 game. I just read the OP of the Reddit thread. I'll read more in a bit to see if I can find out more.

I enjoyed the hell out of 16 outside of bunt cheesing with guys like David Ortiz. I loved how easy it was to make stubs in that game buying rookie cards and doing the missions to get the all star version of that player. You could turn around and sell the new card and get twice the stubs you paid for the card. I played a lot of 17 and didn’t play much of 18 after the first month. I’m hoping they improve 19 but I think the series is starting to decline.

Seems to be getting repetitive?? Its been the same game for multiple years now without any improvements. All they care about is their bullshite card pack bs and steal more of your money
