is the one-button hitting thing a league wide setting? or is it a setting that you can change if you'd rather the analog stick?

I'd like to piggy back on this. UH, give us a complete run down of all settings that will be used for the Franchise. Also, is there ANY possibility of moving up to at least All-Star hitting? Because seriously with Veteran hitting, you literally don't have to do anything else except for swing on time. It won't matter where the pitch is in the strike zone. If it's a strike, it's getting launched on Veteran difficulty. I've seen it many many times. Diamond Dynasty was on Veteran hitting/pitching and games were 13-11 with random generated players who were no better than 70 OVR.

I have never played in a league before. I have also played 95% in the my player mode when I played and I've always been a pitcher, so I'm fully expecting to suck and have a large learning curve.
That being said, I'd much rather a 3-2 ball game than a 15-13 one. I'm all for making hitting slightly harder if it is how everyone says it is.

Can we play with our minor-league teams? Obviously it's a Franchise so I'm assuming we'll have control of the minors. So can we play against the computer with our minor teams or does it have to be against another user?

Well as I can see, i'm not the only one who is playing this game for the first time. (360 convert to PS4) so whatever is default probably works best for the fairest game. I am not sure differences between standard and the next step up though.

I also would like to think this franchise will go on for a while. So we can make changes as they need to be changed. It might be best to just start on default then adjust as time goes on. I've played before, but I haven't ever played online and my hitting is average at best. So I'm not expecting much

I expect , for me, to avg about 15 runs per game and about 15k's a game. It's gonna get ugly.
