Will be released 2025. If I had to take a guess, this will be Nintendo’s final game on the Switch and also be a launch game for the Switch 2 like Breath of the Wild and Twilight Princess were. Probably alongside Super Mario Odyssey 2 or whatever Super Mario game they’ll have following that.

i would hope not. BOTW isn't a fair comparison.

Why? Looks to me like the classic definition of giving the people what they want, which is another Prime game.

Twilight Princess is. And they’ve been promising this game for the Switch for eight years now, so I think they’ll keep their word releasing it for the console, but too valuable of a game to leave out of the Switch 2 lineup.

Also wouldn’t be surprised if they release a “Tears of the Kingdom Deluxe” for launch since apparently they had to cut a lot of sky islands and wouldn’t fit in the memory cartridge, but I think they will here.

I think they cut the islands because the lead game designer said “there’s too many islands. It’s taking up too much of the sky”.

Yup.

I think this was a soft Switch 2 announcement.

My guess is Switch 2 launches with Metroid, Mario Odyssey 2 and now i'm thinking something DK....

You can really tell the EA/Activision dev influence. They brought in a lot of freelancers in the dev cycle of this project. A lot of them which specialized in background, dynamic lighting, animation and rigging etc.

This project has a lot of love put into it and extra money I can guarantee you that. If Retro wanted it, Nintendo more than likely gave it to them.

I would just like something more innovative. This looks like a retread

Eh, Metroid Prime is not then place for some innovation leap. Did you play Dread? That was a great game. A little short, but amazing.

I want a solid, we'll thought Prime adventure.
