Have a few components I'm looking to shed to beef up my current/main rig but I'm not sure where to look to sell them. Is eBay a good option or would I be better off on a PC forum? TIA

I always hold on to them for at least a year or so. You never know when something could go wrong. Or I would build another box with spare parts and make it into a media box or just play around with different stuff where I am not afraid to mess something up.

Would overclockers be ok for mid range stuff? It isn't anything high end. A8-3870k, i5-3570k, asrock z77 extreme4, and gtx660 ti.

Not the best stuff on earth but I don't want to just give it away either.

I would consider buying those from you if I was building now. What is the consensus on used parts?

Reddit, tomshardware, craigslist or ebay.

I prefer the first three over ebay because you can very easily get screwed selling PC parts on there.

Really don't even know where to start. I figured the 3570 and 660ti will sell somewhat easily, I just don't know where to start price wise.

$180 for the 3570k, $100 (probably a little lower) for the extreme4, and I would guess somewhere in the $200 range for the 660ti.

The 3570k and extreme4 will sell pretty easily

That's about what I was thinking. $200 would be ok for the 660?

ETA: I was wanting to sell the extreme 4, 3570k, and 660ti for $450-$500. Would that be doable?

I think you could get $450 fairly easily

I just sold a 3570k on ebay for $180 a few minutes ago. It was listed for about an hour before it sold.

eBay is not ideal, though, because of the fee rape.

You could also get screwed by buyer installation errors and then they blame you for the part being defective.

That's why I stick with reddit and tomshardware because there are no ebay fees (only paypal) and most people know what the hell they're doing

Yep... I've been unloading some old hardware and electronics I don't use on eBay. So far so good, but I know that my paypal account is a ticking time bomb. One complaint and boom, funds frozen.

I just already have an established ebay account, and absolutely no presence on reddit or tom's or any other tech forums other than extreme overclocking, and that community is pretty much dead. Not sure how well I'd do as a stranger trying to sell stuff there, but I might try it if no one buys my stuff.

Currently have a Z68 mobo, SSD, and memory listed

$200 for a used 660Ti seems high. You can find brand new ones on sale for $230 from time to time. Some with free game coupons for that price.
