Mafia III

I've never played any of the Mafia games, but I may pick this one up simply because it takes place in New Bordeaux (New Orleans). I had no clue about it until earlier today. Are they pretty enjoyable? LINK

Yes, I enjoyed them and would recommend them. Good story.

The first one was an instant classic to me. I mean it was is basically GTA with gangsters. Both are cover-heavy shooters for much of the story. With Mafia 2 the cars were a bit more central to the game.Both 1 and 2 are extremely enjoyable.

1 was on rails story-wise, but good game. 2 was open world with an amazing mafia story, but lackluster open world gameplay. 3 looks to make right on the failures of 2.

If I remember correctly, after you beat the game you had to start over. You couldn't roam the open world

I'll be buying it. I've never looked forward to a game so much. I've never played any of the other Mafia games but everything I've seen makes this look like a great game.

I think I will be getting it as well. They nailed the time period/location with New Orleans in the 60's. Only a month to go..

Mafia II was fun as hell. Only complaint was it seemed slightly restrictive and short. III looks to be much larger.

IGN just put a bunch of gameplay videos on their site. I'm not gonna watch them because it's one of those I already know I'm getting it, no point in spoiling any of the story but I figure others may be interested

I watched a "tour" of the map and was very impressed with the visuals. Definitely looking forward to it after watching that video. LINK for those who are interested
