It looks likely that the exclusivity isn't terminated. The games aren't very far along in development.

Death to EA. This can only mean better things for SW titles. I’ve always hated their gameplay mechanics.

EA is terrible and are not interested in the SW universe itself. I was playing Squadrons and had to laugh that the Empire characters were anything but white. Normally I wouldn't care but the Empire is supposed to be racist and xenophobic. It also takes away from Thrawn, who should be a big deal in the future, that is so good at what he does the Empire had to promote him.

Has to be true since Ubisoft is making an open world Star Wars game. Unless they are announcing it in advance for when the EA contact ends.

I love Tom Clancy games for the most part but ubisoft open world stuff is just too formulaic. Too repetitive so it lacks the variety for replayability.

I have to agree that I also find Ubisoft to be pretty shitty. Maybe I am not aware of more of their games.
