As title mentions. Mostly looking to be able to play high graphics demanding games while running a screen recorder, streaming (literally know nothing about, so I have learning to do there), or both.

My 2012 Best Buy Special just went black screen and there’s no VGA to the screen (off card, motherboard, new cable, different screen). No beeps on startup, removed RAM to check if it would beep. Does twice. Replaced RAM after removing all the dust, still beeps twice.

Hard Drive sounds fine, but don’t know how to test for it, or what else to try to know for certain. It’s a Seagate Barracuda 1000 GB, would like to get everything off of it, but if it’s gone, it’s gone and I can piece everything back together. So would like for new computer to be able to hook it up for use as a backup, or be able to get everything off of it without taking it in.

Budget: $1600 Pre-Tax/Windows/etc. Would stretch to $2200 if there is a huge performance difference. If I’m just wishlisting here, please let me know.

Thanks

I have a prebuilt getting here in a week or so. I'll be taking the GPU out and keeping it, rest of the machine is G2G. Would give you the option to pick your GPU at a price/performance you find comfortable. CPU is a Ryzen 7 3800X, everything else is pretty standard fare.

The PC goes for $2k and the GPU is roughly 700-750, so that would put it around $1300. I'd probably do a little less depending on where you are. From there, you could spend $250-300 for a 2070 Super all the way up to $1500 if you want a 3090. Would give some wiggle room

If he doesn’t want it, I may snag it from you. Does it come with a case?

Word. Yes it does. Here is the build. Comes with Watch Dogs Legion and the 1 year of GeforceNow, whoever takes it can have those as well. I upgraded the SSD and PSU from the stock config, everything else is standard. It does come with a mouse and keyboard, but they’re shite and I would get rid of them.

Just add a monitor (get the LG GL83 for $379 if you want to play at 1440) and GPU of your choice ($150-$1500, easy to install) and you’re ready to rock

You could go iBuyPower and this model is just under $1600 as is, which means you could beef up some specs and stay under the $2200.

LINK

Specs:

AMD Ryzen 7 3700x
16GB DDR4-3600
RTX 3070 w/ 8GB
650W power supply (personally, I'd bump this to at least 750)
512GB NVMe SSD (For $4 more you can select the 512GB Intel NVMe drive, which currently has a free upgrade to the 1TB model)
1TB HDD (Secondary)

You can get an external drive caddy to plug put your drive in and see if you can access the files.

That all looks pretty good. I have a rig it’s just dated by 5 years now and it’s time. Is the Mobo compatible with AMD cards? I think I may splurge on a 6900XT.

First in your heart? Third when it matters?

I understand. That's why Perry is the only real baw. I would automatically be bumped to #1 with him.

Unfortunately, my shoulder devil took my shoulder angel into a back alley and beat the shite out of him and I’m about to go a little nuts on my build. Going to have to just build from scratch
