I hum the ballad of the wind fish to my 1 year old son at night to get him to sleep. Works every time.

I love Link to the Past, but I think the music from Link's Awakening has stayed with me longer than anything else in any Zelda game.

Well, just got it, and have a long plane ride with 2 layovers, so this is going to help. In the middle of my second layover right now, and god, this is a trip up nostalgia lane. Sure it's the same map, but man does it feel fresh. Really enjoying the game so far.

That's what I'm talking about.

Nostalgia is exactly what I wanted.

frick yes. I haven't been this excited about a video game in years. I'm thinking I'm going to buy the Zelda 3DS XL bundle this weekend if I can find one

I'm diving in next weekend.

How do you feel about it so far?

How are the dungeons and the item renting system?

Just got to Lorule. Started the Bandits Hideout, but I'm stuck, died, and lost my non-purchased items. Purchased the Bow and Boomerang, trying to save up to buy the bombs in full.

The dungeons are great and really challenging. You may think its easy at the start, but once you get to Lorule, the game stops fricking around and gets hard as frick.

The item system gives you a new way to approach Zelda. I'm kinda cheating by just hitting up Hyrule Castle for tons of cash and kicking guards asses to get their rubies, so I can outright buy all the items.

Sounds like how I would approach it.

Going to trade in a few 3DS games to pick this up in the next day or so. Looking forward to it.
