Do as many shrines as possible.

Those test of strength shrines are fun and drop good weapons.

Dont worry about weapons breaking.. eventually your entire inventory is nothing but flame, energy, ice etc weapons.

Lol at people getting attached to the stick they get in the first minute.

The labyrinths were my favorite areas

prioritize stamina over hearts early.
I wish I knew about the weapons. I freaked when I lost a certain weapon in a little battle only to find a better one was near...

Ninentendo needs to port another Zelda to the switch soon.

Zelda 1 and 2 from original NES are on there if you have the online service.

I really never even noticed the durability thing. Constantly had stacked weapons and shields. I had to constantly figure out which weapons/shields/bows to junk because I had too many.

I wish they had added a way to store weapons at the house other than the few slots that are available. This game really needed a weapons chest.

its a really good game. you should give it another try.

so youre in a battle with 3 bobolkins.. youre weapon is about to break.. you throw it at the low bobo, he drops a weapon, you pick it up, then continue your rampage on the other two.

it adds a sort of flow to the combat that can be really fun if you embrace it

yeah. there really is always a better weapon around the corner, in a shrine, in a bobolkin camp etc.

instead of searching for one good weapon, botw has you searching for EVERY weapon, every where, and rewards you knowing how to use them. so you're constantly looking for weapons and I feel that's what made botw fun.

plus there are bombs, telekinesis, all the sheikah slate powers.

The best advice I can give you is to stop reading / posting anything about the game. Just play and find things out on your own.

It seems they pull a gaming system out for every Zelda, Mario game. They suck Lynel's hairy horse balls.

I got the WiiU just for Zelda and the new mario so I was happy this new Zelda was also for WiiU. I played almost every Zelda on game cube (I may have missed some? if they put out a new gaming system)

In breath of the wild does anyone else find the music mesmerizing? In that first little town you find with the flag ropes hanging on the path the music was surreal & calming. Doing the elephant beast place; the music box sound was so irritating it made you want to GTFO.

Those wizard mini boss things in a mountainside where I am now are freaky I just RUN on.

I did freak when I lost my first metal sword in battle. I remember when I got a stick with a spike I was not loosing that bitch. The kind in the skeleton face shaped caves...I just beat about 20 of those scuzz bags, had to drop down from the top and shoot them via the eyes of the skeleton cave.

I am currently going to every shrine top priority. The one with the ball maze and your controller moves the ball via the literal maze- is driving me batty.

Oh and the blood moon break away dreams scared the shite out of me; especially since it happened when I was stealing shock arrows from Lynel the horseman.

I missed the past sale on Zelda BOTW @ best buy for $30; so I found it on sale @ the gamestop by CL in Jax. I drove an hour for it, my local gamestops were sold out.

in the walk through videos it is hilarious watching these gamer expert kids heave down metal weapons to get the new weapon in the small ledged treasure box.

also I found if you sleep for free by the elephant or pay to sleep in a water bed you get a crap ton of temp hearts.

This thread made me go back to my basically finished game to knock out all of the side quests that I missed. I just finished the one where the little Zora girl sends a letter down the river to some guy, and you have to follow it. It was a pain in the arse, and the payoff was that I am now an accomplice in setting up an adult human with a child Zora.
