Jeb is eternal. Jeb will never die.

So glad 1.0 is coming out! I had a hard time putting in much more time in the career mode knowing that it would most likely be erased by the full version being released. Now I feel like I can start from scratch and not have to worry

Jeb is love Jeb is life.

Jeb and I share the same birthday? Take my money!

I'm the same way. I was all career mode all the time until a few months ago. I went back to sandbox mode and just had a blast. I don't care about my missions though. Yesterday I got done with everything I wanted to by bringing all of my stranded kerbals back home. Of course when I rescued Jeb from the Mun one of my engines exploded and I had to poodle back to Kerbin on a very unstable ship. Of course Jeb made it work though. Fitting way to send away my saves
All my kerbalnauts know that it's a one way mission when they leave Earth's orbit.
I thank them for their sacrifices.

Officially has been released
My God, the air friction is really screwing me up!
I can't do my normal turn at 10k without the air pushing my rocket over
ETA: hmmm something is going wrong. I tried going straight up and still got flipped.

New aerodynamics brah. Fairings are about to become a big part of your rocket building life.

Haha yeah. This could get interesting.

Good thing I saw this. About to re download it and start from scratch.

Bought it today - going to play after work.
I played the heck out of Earth Orbit Station back in the day. I played a little of Buzz Aldrin's Race into Space. I'm stoked.

Flying planes is soooo much more enjoyable with the new aerodynamics. Last night I flew the Ravenspear MK1 and got that bastard up to 800 m/sec before it tore itself apart
Then I realized the atmosphere was too thick at the altitude I was flying at. I got it up to around 8-9k and it flew at 800 m/sec without much issue. It's easier to fly around Kerbin now. Which is awesome because I want to fly over the deserts and stuff like that without having to go into orbit

I can't wait to get home this weekend and play with the new update

Aerodynamics are pissing me off. Rolling my plane should provide slight lift in the direction that I am tilted.
Are there brakes? I actually landed and went zooming into the water. Is parachute the only way to stop? I may fly too many flight sims for the spaceplane piece to be entertaining.
Still love the rockets, although i am running out of ideas to get more science (like usual).
ETA: bigger wings have helped with the roll/lift issue.

I downloaded the demo for this about a year ago, and made a basic rocket to put into orbit, but just could not get it to fly straight worth shite and gave up.
It was just two tanks, the middle size booster, capsule, and parachute. I made sure it was symmetric.
I would turn on stability control at launch by pressing 'T', then when I hit 10km I would start tapping 'D' to make the 45 degree turn to put me in place for orbit and it just wouldn't hold steady, whether I turned stability control back on or not. I would finally make it high enough to transition to orbit, set my maneuver, turn till I was in the purple reticule and fire, but again, it would just go all over the place and wouldn't hold.
What the frick am I doing wrong? It appears I am doing it the same as in the Youtube tutorial videos, but their shite isn't going all over the place after they make a course change.

For a while the demo had a much older version than the current version that was out. You may have been watching newer version videos and trying to do their maneuvers in your older version may not have worked the same. The same thing is happening with 1.0. They had a massive aerodynamics overhaul and people are having to learn how to get in orbit again in some situations.

It's a great feeling when you launch your old faithful rocket and it flies like complete shite in the new aero physics.
