I just hit the ribbon thingy. I wouldn't actually know how to summon an actual person.

I puttered around the Catacombs for a few last night. Will be interesting. Not a fan of how confined it is.

I've been watching Cowboys playthrough and he makes it look easy.

Cowboy is great and all (I used his videos for the DLC in DS2: SotFS and I'm watching his Nioh 2 videos), but my favorite Dark Souls walkthroughs are the "Everything Possible" series by BlueLizardJello. Cowboy is all about getting super OP and smashing through everything, but I feel like BLJ gives a lot of good tips and tricks for getting through the games without being an OP monster.

BLJ also explains and shows all possible outcomes with NPC interactions (even ones that can't be done on a single playthrough). I haven't watched Cowboy's DS3 videos, so not sure if he shows those.

I just started the catacombs. How hard is it. Up to this point I think Sekiro has been much harder, but I'm guessing that's gonna change. Also, as a pyromancer do I need int and faith? I'm still at the base stats of 14/14. I was thinking of dropping both of them and using that to up my endurance and vitality

It has it's moments, but not too challenging or long. The boss is probably one of the easiest in the game. Smoldering Lake looks like it's going to be a chore. I've already beaten the boss, just looking for loot now.

Sekiro was more difficult than the other games, imo.

they really wanted you play a certain way and you couldnt level up or summon past challenges. loved it, just hard as hell.

Yes, pyromancer scales with both int and faith. I’d start raising them to increase your damage.

Chaos gems are also helpful for pyromancer. So are dark gems.

So co-op means no resting at bonfires? Not sure I like it for anything other than bosses.

Playing with someone was fun, I have no problem with that. But to not be able to restore health and estus and go through embers just to roam around with a buddy......not sure the trade off works.

So I got to pontiff sulyvahn and somehow I summoned two other guys. We, well I should say, they tore him up. It kinda feels bittersweet because I wasn't help. Lol.

I’m on my first playthrough too; amazing game and series as a whole. I never found Souls THAT outrageously difficult until the last 1/4 of DS3.

I’m determined to finish solo but the last few bosses are insane. Sorry to say but if you found Sulyvahn anywhere near challenging Friede or Nameless King are going to go in dry.

Aldrich, actually, and I just beat him last night. I was 1 hit away one time and then went through an hour of BS with him. But at least I beat him solo.

2 questions.

What's your soul level?

Where are you now that you beat Aldrich?

77 maybe? In the 70's at least.

ETA Is there a way to look up that info on some website without having to get into the game?

It was late so I only tried Aldrich one time, but he seems like a pain. I went and did the dungeons before anor londo.
