Wow. This game is beautiful. And is it just me, but does it appear bigger than Origins? I know, pretty deep thoughts. Lol

It is much larger in terms of map size. However, it feels lifeless most of the time, and the main character is just "meh" when compared to Bayek of Siwa.

Origins was more beautiful IMO, especially on the Nile.

How are the AC games now? I stopped playing them due to being so rinse and repeat

I mean, what did you find "rinse and repeat" about them?
The biggest change is the gameplay. I go back to older AC games, tried to play Syndicate not too long ago, and it's impossible to go back after playing Origins and Odyssey. It actually is fun to play now.
It's the same Ubisoft open world formula with the map barf and outposts/forts to take out, but they've incorporated a lot more RPG elements into the games, Odyssey especially. It even included dialogue options.

The biggest key to the AC games now is to not attempt to 100% every island before moving onto the next one. You will get burnt out on the gameplay before you finish the game.
If you finish it and want more, then go find every detail.

Amazing game, just get ready for your tamed pet to randomly die, it's the most annoying part of the game. Hey let's walk down this hill "tamed pet had died!"

False. I don't get the love affair with the dude from Origins

I just don't understand this board's fascination with Bayek. The AC franchise hasn't had a memorable protagonist since Shay from AC Rogue.

Alexis backstory has an odd Black Flag feel to it; not sure why. ?? l

Because Bayek is a well written bad arse character, you dumb shite.

Run over here, do a jump puzzle, go back over here, jump puzzle. Just pretty one dimensional. It has been awhile for me though

Kassandra and Bayek are both great, though. You find out after the 1st DLC that there is a direct link between the games.
I hate sand levels in any game, so I prefer Odyssey's environs.
The modern day stuff in Odyssey is better, too.
And Odyssey DLC >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Origins
*****SPOILERS BELOW*********
Kassandra's kid is taken to Persia by the First Blade. You get a cut scene of him growing up, then his spawn, then their spawn. . .and so on.
The last spawn shown was Aya/Amunet, and of course the doomed Khemu.

I have over 100 hours in Odyssey so I am aware
I would say neither character are that great. As a rule, I think I prefer Odyssey's protagonist, but the current gen AC games all have weak narratives.

Bayek of Siwa, JoJo Siwa's Uncle.
