This was the first GoW game I had ever played. Knew absolutely nothing about it going into the game. I loved the story a ton and I really hope the next one includes a fight with Thor since it was teased at the end of this game. The only negative about this game is just it being so combat-based....and that’s just a personal problem, that’s nothing that the company did wrong when making it. It’s just frustrating how many fights there are when each one can be pretty difficult at times. Thankfully as I upgraded and the story went on, I started to enjoy the fighting aspect a lot more. I’m really looking forward to the next one.

PS: The story ended with a BANG learning who Loki is and seeing Thor, but sadly I had that spoiled for me so it took a little bit of the excitement away.

Also a question.......in the end when Kratos is looking at his wife’s markings on the temple wall, did I see that last one right? Looked like Loki killing Kratos and Kratos sounded sad when talking as he saw it

The funny thing about this game is it was severely under budget too. They could’ve done so much more but they were hampered by lack of funds and it still got game of the year. Insane.

All of them are great. They had 3 remastered as one of the free games not long ago. Should have jumped on that.

Unchartered wonders what the problem is.

I'm debating another playthrough or keep exploring the other realms. It's been so long that I really suck at combat.

I still need to go explore and attempt to beat the Valkyries. I ran up on one before I knew anything about them, quickly died a couple times and then left

One of the only games I've ever platinum'd. And I got it for under $20 during a Black Friday sale. Felt like a criminal after completing the game...

Yeah that’s when I bought mine. Got it for like $25 during Black Friday. I had actually started the game and completed about half of it before Christmas, then I got RDR2 for Christmas and that took forever to complete. After I finished that, a few weeks ago, I decided to restart God of War and really pay attention to the story. It’s not something I would replay, but it was fun. I may go back and try to compete some of the other fights that aren’t apart of the story tho

Make sure you do the Valkyries. The fights can be incredibly stress, but they are definitely very rewarding once you get through them.

This was my first God of War game as well. I loved the combat once I got used to it. After finishing the main quest, I spent some time playing the Muspelheim and Niflheim realms. I earned enough mist echoes to get the upgraded armor, but then it started to feel like a grind in comparison to the main quest.

Could be mistaken as it’s been over a year since I beat it, but I believe that was a reference to the older games.

That's how I took it. Plus the dialogue with Freya leading up to it foreshadows. It'll be interesting where they take the franchise from here.
