Is there a place that fixes PS4's?

Sons PS4 has been broken for quite a while. It wasn't even hardly used much. Would like to repair it rather than fix it. Can't even tell you what it does, does a bunch of nothing like black screen or frozen... been a few months since i messed with it. Tried the off and on and basic stuff like that.

Did you actually hold the button down and do a hard reset or just on/off? I had an issue a few years ago with a display setting with the same black screen and it reset it for me

all these new age gaming consoles are so damn confusing. i guess its a get off my lawn post but damn, the logging in, downloading crap, and all this stuff is confusing.

It’s most likely the display settings are wrong for the tv. You need to reset it.

So looked at it again. Tv isn’t picking up anything on the hdmi nothing happens. Trying holding reset buttons and everything. New hdmi cable etc.

most of the downloading is done automatically in the background so you don't have to mess with much, once you're used to the interface it's really all a matter of knowing the difference between shutting down and going into rest mode (for the PS5, not sure how the new Xbox consoles handle it)
rest mode is handy because you can essentially put the console in sleep mode but it will still download a game or charge your controller

need your help on amateur question.
I have parent account with my kid account under me.
It doesn't let me add gift card redemption to his account. It makes me add to my family account.
If he makes purchases, it charges to family account, will it automatically use my wallet funds available (gift cards) before it charges the CC on file?
ETA: one more, will the sub account have access to games purchased under a family account when logged in as the child?

It says in there you can set playing time and spending limits.

Under how to become a family manager they have hyperlinks for ps5 parental controls and ps4. Click the corresponding one and it will get you to the spending g limits with a video on how to set monthly spending limits.

Yes. Will use wallet funds. Won't charge CC unless the charge goes over funds in wallet.

Yes. Unless your child is set up as a child and your restrictions limit access to games above the age limit.
