Is it worth getting back into Elder Scrolls online or is there another mmorpg for PS4?

You’d recommend? I played about 100 hours of ESO way back in 2015. I saw there was a recent expansion however it’s pretty pricy. Anyone play it? Worth it?
If not is there another you’d recommend?
What’s the best out there? I like open worlds with tons to do

Easy to jump right back in? Are there monthly fees?

Not directly on point, but does anyone have a link to a current guide on modding Skyrim (PC)?

I've been enjoying running some solo stuff. It's a huge game and the population is still really good.

YouTube, just search.
Easy as pie most mods. Esp if you are just replacing textures, ect.
Edt: Start with things like "4K textures", "lighting", "real weather"
Then move on to things like "animation time"

I guess so. I'm playing solo right now on PC and it's all been pretty self explanatory. Although, I paid $10 for a starter kit so I could get a mount and 2 quests later I get one as a reward

There's probably a lot more to it, but I do know paying a monthly sub gives you a bigger inventory.

If you get into Crafting then a subscription is a must as subscribers get a special, unlimited area for Crafting supplies. Not subbing and trying to harvest supplies for Crafting means you end up with a full inventory very quickly.
I can't remember the other bonuses from subbing, I haven't played in about a year and let my sub run out. It was fun and I may have enjoyed it more had I gotten into a PVP guild (PVP was quite fun with large groups going at each other).

Ive been playing on PC for almost 4 years, I still log on everyday and piddle around for a bit, and on weekends my guild does Vet Trials and other random stuff throughout the week. It used to be the one and only game I played for a while, but don't play it nearly as hardcore as I did, then again I have .....A LOT of hours into it so I've done just about everything. But its still fun with a group of friends. Ive been playing with the same people since pretty much day 1. A lot of people prefer solo and there is a lot you can do solo. PvP is fun too, I was a big PvPer for a while but haven't done a whole lot of it lately.

For PC, not PS4, but depending on what kind of gameplay you’re into I could see a person enjoying WoW: Classic or Black Desert.
I should have probably stuck with Black Desert longer than I did. It was just a bit overwhelming starting from scratch learning all of their systems and how to grind money.
WoW: Classic is pretty self-explanatory. Everyone knows about it. I enjoy the gameplay, I just don’t have the time to raid seriously anymore.

I bought Black Desert but it looks terrible on my PS4 Pro.
Worth spending time getting into it?

turning the tides of battle with well placed trebuchets or ballistas was extremely satisfying
the PVP was pretty fun in eso.

Building an empire of traders, artisans, etc. is extremely involved and rewarding if you ask me. The world is huge and varied. Questing seemed decent. Grinding is definitely a large part of many aspects of the system, though.
