Is Battlefield 6 multiplayer/Redsec pretty much dead?

I hadn't played in a few months and sat down to play Gauntlet last night. After 15 minutes of matchmaking the lobby never got more than half full and I gave up trying. Went to play one of the breakthrough modes and after 5 minutes of trying to fill the lobby it got filled with bots.
I ended up playing Warzone and after one match I remembered why I quit playing it.

I think battle royales in general are dying

BF6? No not at all, still hitting 70K daily on steam alone. That ranks #18. I'm sure a decent chunk on EA App.

I play the multiplayer alot. Redsec I hardly touch.

Same, I hop in redsec every once in a while, but BR's have just run their course with me. I still play multiplayer a ton and I'm not having issues population wise as far as that is concerned. The new map they dropped has been really fun. Lot of Operation locker vibes to it. I think it was a 2042 map if not mistaken?

I play PS5 only and have no problem, it depends on when. Past 5pm most nights I can play quads or regular modes pretty easily.

I'll say as of now, I think their anti-cheat has done a really solid job. I am on PC but play with controller. It is rare I have been in a MP game and thought someone was able to just outclass me with their gaming chair and/or was actually cheating.

I dislike pc cheaters, definitely one of the reasons, also there' just a lot more try hards on PC. I like playing with casual people. Had a squad the other night with some dudes in their 30's, drinking heavily and having fun. We would have gotten insta-killed on a PC lobby.
