I got that LSU Defense (last years one) -CFB 25

playing with old friend in online dynasty, on heisman. Hes la tech and im sam houston, going rebuild low schools.
my first four games -
@Rice - 48-40 L
@NC ST - 55-40 L
Hawaii - 64-50 L
New Mexico St - 59-33 L
running 4-2-5. doing everything i can, zone, man, shell, audible, it just doesnt work. I also noticed if i throw an interception, the next possession my qb will fumble it when hit for a turnover. Happened every game, idk if its a bug or just coincidence. Its frustrating because it feels nothing works. Offense im doing fine- but defense is just crazy.
The thing is, when i do play now mode against cpu (same teams), its completely different. Defense is serviceable, i get a shite ton more TO's. In Dynasty, almost no point to play.
is it just the 4-2-5? is it a known thing among the community that that scheme sucks? my friend is running 3-3-5 as tech, and held NC ST to 6 points. Idk if there is much anyone can really say to help but if anyone else is having similar problems it will relieve me of my pain.

Defense is rough. I guess much like real life playing defense with LSU at least is a helpless feeling

with the exception of a few teams that's pretty much defense in all of college football in real life these days.
at least the game gives plenty of INT opportunites. (against users at least)

I run nickel and over load blitz about 90 percent of the time.
It gives up big plays but also creates turnovers.
If I can get a sack on 1st down then I switch to cover 2 man

Good info, thanks. What ive done was switch to 335, and sim defense. Im acutally getting stops now but i pefer to play, going try what you said.

I wanted too, but my buddy wanted heisman and i caved.

Yeah heisman is gonna put you in your place consistently with this new game I find. I went down to Varsity to get a feel for a game, then bumped to AA and I find it's pretty balanced. Need to adjust a few sliders but otherwise it's a lot of fun. I really enjoy the pace of the game.
In regards to your defense, I'm doing the same as someone else mentioned.. overloading one side and dropping into zones while disguising coverage seems to be effective. Forced 5 picks in my 2nd game but only after I gave up 2 monster gains for TD on my first two defensive possessions.

I would never play on heisman but you are scoring a ton of points so maybe you are just really good unless this is 15 minute quarters or something.
I feel like heisman discourages you from playing realistically because of the AIs ability to make crazy defensive plays against throws you would want your qb to make all day in real life

doing 8 min q. cant run so im throwing 70-80 passes but running game is improving.
