How much should I pay for a quality headset?

For some reason I have gone over 10 years now (started online gaming when cod4 released) without ever buying a headset. I always used the earpieces that came with the systems
Playing Modern warfare now and realized it’s pretty much a must.
Do y’all have any recommendations? I would like to not spend over $100. Thanks

You can what you need in the $60-80 range. Hyperx, Corsair, and Logitech all make good ones for that price.

Turtle Beach makes good ones too. They really are a good addition to playing some of these games, single player included.
ETA: definitely no need to spend $100. I spent $45 or so 2 years ago and am still happy with my Turtle Beach ones.

The people who have to listen to your mic aren't happy.

I got this exact combo because of this board and it is a great combo for right around $100

I dont reccomend the Razer ManOwar. Heavy, clunky and dont like the sound or interface.
My favs are the Roccat Kave 5.1 but they are discontinued I believe
This is from a non-audiophile so take that for what its worth

Do you talk to people? If not definitely go with a non-gaming headset. Much better value.

Like others have said I'd go with HyperX I go this around two years ago and haven't had any problems. Very comfortable and although not completely wireless it only plugs into the aux jack on my controller. Doesn't drain my controllers battery either. My only complaint is it doesn't have the option to turn the volume up or down from the aux cord, you'd have to spend a little more for that.

Arctis 7 has been great. I bought back in July to replace my HyperX that was good, but eventually the plugin/snap in mic port fails.
I paid 100$ and change on Amazon for the Arctis 7.

I still rock my HD598 with antlion mod mic. I believe Senheiser has updated to the HD599’s now though.

The Logitech G933 is garbage. Expensive garbage. Sound was bad from day 1. After 6 months I have to jiggle the on off button perfectly to get any sound. Garbage.
Finally trashed them and got SteelSeries Arctis 7. The sound quality is much better.
Don't know anything about the mic on either because I only used it a bit on Rust with the logitech and haven't used it yet on the Steel.

You got an overpriced Astro set and you still sound like hot garbage.

Not for the options available. My Phillips would shite on any wireless gaming headset.
There’s almost no point in wireless anyway. You can plug it in the controller which is wireless or into the computer which is right beside you (unless you have a hidden one in a closet or something)
Good option for wireless would be ath50x Bluetooth. Poster on here said it is a good bit better than his Arctis
