If you don’t want to spend over $100 and want wireless you can’t go wrong with the Arctis 7. I’ve moved on to a non gaming setup, but the Arctis 7 was fantastic for what it was.

Not for the options available. My Phillips would shite on any wireless gaming headset.

Amped up, sure they would, but just having them plugged into a controller? No, they wouldn't be significantly better.

I've had all headphones from the god tier AD700x and AKG K701 down to the superlux 668B. When you have to get amps and dacs involved (which if you use headphones for gaming, you should have them) wires become a problem.

I've been using Logitech G430s for awhile. The first pair broke (the piece that connects the headband part to the right ear snapped, but this was after three years of use probably). Got another pair though when Amazon had them for $35. I eventually want to just get high quality headphones though and a desk microphone instead.

The Logitech G933 is garbage. Expensive garbage.

Yea the G533 is superior in every way, except the RGB lighting

Agreed. My sennheiser set up has a ton of wires but I’ve not found a better setup than what I have that’s wireless. Not even close.

Literally the only reason to buy a headset with wires is to run it through a mixamp

Nobody is spending $300 on a wired headset to plug it straight into a controller bro.

Open back is significantly better for gaming. I don't know of any open back wireless. Also, PS4 controllers suck for power delivery compared to Xbox.

Ummmmmm

There’s almost no point in wireless anyway. You can plug it in the controller which is wireless or into the computer which is right beside you

Yea no shite, I've been through just about every major pair of cans on the market.

Still doesn't make much difference if they're not being powered by an amp/dac

sennheiser

They have fantastic wireless options. My wireless sennheiser setup in my bedroom sounds tremendously better than the logitech or arctis 7.

Sennheiser HD598/Modmic 5 running with Audio Engine DAC. I'm so glad I went with those ears.

Nowhere near the OP's budget unfortunately.

Do y’all have any recommendations? I would like to not spend over $100. Thanks

What are you gaming on? Xbox, PC PS4? I'm currently using
HyperX Cloud Revolver S . If you are running PC or PS4 you can take advantage of the USB sound connection. They still sound fantastic plugged into the Xbox controller though. I think I paid around $140.. but Amazon has them listed for $94.00-116.00 right now. If you are ok with wired..trust me they are the best bang for the buck at that price..You will not be disappointed..

I haven’t ever tried a wireless sennheiser setup. I believe it though.

I have one of Game Zero’s that runs through an Astro mixamp and the first time I used them I was mind blown

I can’t imagine going back to a cheaper setup.

For the most part I do believe you get what you pay for in regards to headsets.

Like others have said I'd go with HyperX I go this around two years ago and haven't had any problems. Very comfortable and although not completely wireless it only plugs into the aux jack on my controller

The HyperX Revolver S has a volume dongle that can plug into the USB on the PS4. Sounds better than the controller plug.

I had the Sennheiser PC373D (USB model with built in amp) before I got my astros. I liked them a lot before windows 10 update basically killed the drivers for it.

No wires>wires

I game mostly on a Sony BT headset because of the no wires.

But everytime I out my Beyers connected to Schiit on, I'm like "I'm missing out".

I do miss my AKGs and Schiit stack, but the convenience of the wireless is just too nice especially paired with wireless kb/m
