Will turning off motion blur increase my performance?
Also - hopefully I can change my character… I read you can do that in Hogsmeade? I chose a douche hairstyle now that I’ve seen it more and the color isn’t quite right.
And I need to make my dude paler.

It should, yes, though not some huge jump. May boost an extra few frames. I have all of those bottom section settings off besides depth of field. Running DLSS - quality, fog and sky quality to low. Those have had some good impact on how it runs while keeping it looking really sharp.
Yes, you can at least modify your hair in hogsmeade, can't remember if you can change anything else in the appearance.

You can change hairstyle and color in Hogsmeade, plus I think eyebrows and eye color.

I miss the days when I just needed to turn on a game. Nothing was going to make it look that much better

The game chose my settings at first (then did it again after getting the latest Nvidia drivers) and they were absolutely hilarious. Nvidia DLSS with everything on Ultra - except at 58% render scale.
Absolute dog shite. I put it back to 1440p, 144 FPS cap and have been tinkering since… I really am not far into the game at all.

Yea the benchmark is dumb, don't use it.
I honestly wouldn't recommend turning off the upscaling. The game does better with it. I'm using DLSS - Quality, I bumped the sharpening up to I think .33, but that is personal preference. I tried running it with the upscaling off, and it ran like shite. It sucks, but the game just runs much, much better with it on.
I think the main ones I changed were the sky and fog to low, shadows maybe medium, population to high, material and effects medium or high, can't remember. Picture looks great and i'm pretty consistent in the 70's or so out in the world, sometimes getting close to 100. In hogwarts, pretty consistent around 100.

Im at almost 60 hours played and only 51% complete. Rescued the Phoenix and unlocked the final broom upgrade last night. Need to farm up another 1k gold to grab it.
The 5k brooms certain vendors sell are ourely cosmetic, right?
The 4th vivarium i got for the phienix is where I will build my small castle when i unlock all of the stone building features. Already have the 10x10 floor down.

I like how that guy has us testing out upgrades that will make him shite tons of money and can’t give us the upgrades for free, or considerably cheaper. 5k for the last upgrade is ridiculous.

I did read earlier that the side quests will be available to you after you beat the main story, if you haven't completed them. So, like any of the ones that are somewhat tied to seasonal stuff, will all be available after the main story is done. I was being super anal with those, so that is good to see.

Won’t DLSS quality lower my rendering? I won’t begin to act like I know wtf I’m talking about. I just want 1440p, as many FPS as possible up to 144 but not below 60, and at whatever settings I need to achieve that.
