If you’re not go somewhere perhaps more suitable for you than the Gaming Board during the high profile launch of one the historically biggest IPs of all time. Just a thought. Also being a snide bitch confirms all I’m saying as correct and that my first unimaginably thorough play through of this game was dead on the money regarding its balance and game design and as ice already stated I don’t believe a single one of them or intention behind them was overlooked or a mistake on the devs part but drives hand in hand narratively with the game and how tv experience doles itself out.
It’s also not “significantly invested” at least as a perjerative as you intend it to be highly thankful and graciously appreciate what was offered and created for us in the market it exist while being able to acknowledge its flaws and critique it’ constructively in the hopes that cycle continues to create experiences similar and improved upon. I know it’s likely you recognize this and just believe you’re being funny or somehow creative when you have less electricity circulating your neural network than vinegarstrokes

I’ve been running around Hogwarts collecting the little parchment papers for 4 hours now. Hogwarts is ridiculously big like it’s overwhelming and I have a headache and have to take a break now

This game is amazing! Just got to Hogsmeade. Not sure what it is but it just feels fun

Small hint here for you or any one else playing on hard mode out of the gate even though you’re likely far past this advice being needed. This game is not combat centered and in fact so substantially holds you back from having derive service level understand needed for hard mode success the troll in Hogsmead can feel like Lord Sidius rolling up to frick up your day and laugh at your as the tutorial boss into in comically small combat arena set up. The boss is in fact well designed and meant to show you the stun capabilities and power of your “rare super force magic abilities) have when using environmental barrels and such as stuns for large enemies while even throwing in Sebastian to spilt aggro giving you space to breathe if you need it. It’s also your first and true and meaningful introduction to the red/orange parry block unblockable so get your arse rolling away mechanic the time expects you to master not later but pretty much now.
Go around hogsmead and catch all 15 flying books in the collections segment for that part. It’s not difficult or a time sink but spamming revelio to find them will ensure you find all chest and money hidden or in houses for you to grab. The rewards for the collection payoff and money for all forms of character enhancements drastically will change from this boss is impossible to ok I get what they’re doing and I’m supposed to come away knowing and have learned.

Also if you haven’t spent an hour or so personally tailoring settings for yourself you need to ASAP this is the type of game they’re significantly terrible for everyone equally as a baseline and requires this.
Some wise things to do
- Disable camera relative targeting into off mode this allows you to somewhat guide your targets with the right stick even when locked off instead of the game arbitrarily choosing
-On Ps5 get your motion sensor function sensitive slider lower and lower as you feel it out mine is at .5 but when shite starts getting hot and bothered later soon you’ll love required to make 5-6 decisions intellectually and on the fly constantly and unfamiliarity with butt layouts and confidence in your choices constantly lead me into hitting g the center button on accident when is easier to trigger the higher this slider goes
- Follow camera sped and aiming acceleration needs to be very high (both of mine are at 1.35 and 1.3 respectively) while leaving camera acceleration slider stat itself in q vacuum low (mine is .56) this result ins combat being as snappy and fast pace allowing you the response time it demands while the exploration and outside game world doesn’t feel gamey and is more cinematically immersive
-toggle aim mode immediately and forget turned off with toggle spell cast mode turned on and camera dead zone all the down at
Rock bottom 0
- turn off all audio visualizer options and imo keys. It is a crutch, an annoying one at that bombarding you without mercy and the middle to later game won’t fricking care and destroy you regardless leaving it just taking up valuable brain interrupting response time.
- Go into your HUD or user interface and turn off as
Much as you possibly can while still getting info relayed you need

The world building is just wonderful. The places are all so well done. Mechanics are just enough of rpg elements without just beating you ever the head with it. It really is a great mix of depth and build crafting for more hardcore people, but still being simple enough to just let the casual play and have fun.

And one final piece of advice based on my experience here and my general PS5 next gen approach to Every single type of game in this broad umbrella. Playing jn performance mode here utilizing a locked and constant 60 FPS at cost of lower fidelity isn’t needed or desire here where you aren’t locked swords with someone or each encounter is so dependent on drastic frame perfect melee combat design. Crack that shite into fidelity more or as impressive your console or pc rig will let you sky high jack up the visual splendor of this masterpieces

My 11 year old daughter is a huge fan. Like she still rereads all of the books weekly.
Is this something she would enjoy as a casual gamer. Is it worth getting it for her on ps5 or do yall think it would be good enough for her on the switch when it comes out?

Yes I believe this game as it relates to story narrative and just everything that makes the soul of HP what it is, is alive and well here beating stronger than ever. There’s all kinds of things in this game that either steal from, borrow from; or alternate on the direct ideas that made HP the hit it was with children jn the 90s. That said how smart and observant is your youngin? I ask because this game has a story that present much darker and morally grey questions and philosophical concepts especially what the actual tangible philosophical, political; and practical realities would look like if they existed in our real world. The player character is the hero and it’s an isakai which makes them have choices that drive and dictate how these things become presented and morally justified or opposed and the spectrum on some run deep. Like murder everyone to never become your enemies wide
That said, this really isn’t a game for children ev n if you make the combat as easy as possible in story mode. The combat is only like 20% maximum’s of this game. It has a lot of stealth sections, mini games, and just a metric shite ton of puzzles that while all are fun and stimulating for an adult I’m not sure how easy a lot of them would be for children. As far as getting this game on the switch that’s just a dumb idea no offense. The combat tries heavily in particle effects and visual ques, the ps5 controller is already over burned with commands and abilities needed button space you h five 16 spells mapped to 4 face
Buttons. The graphics are, and especially will be, the drive force and possible likely ticket for admission in some people. The switch port will fail badly I tell you this now.

Everyone downvoting my advice to play this one specific action game on fidelity mode over performance mode please post imaging confirming you’ve even played the game because I don’t believe most people in this thread even have they’re commenting. Dumb arse simpletons. I basically maintained this like heroine from the moment it’s midnight unlocked up until still playing it now. This game doesn’t need 60 FPS precise dodging sword mechanics and boss reads. It is better viewed as a playable movies

You're getting downvoted because you type 8000 word posts and spam them.
It's a casual game thread nobody wants to read your tri hourly thesis Dr. Legacy.

She will absolutely fall in love with the game, it's incredibly faithful to the IP. You may have to shut the power off to get her away from it.

A casual gamer thread where 75% haven’t even pressed the start menu button. Yeah great hive mind this bunch is of intellectuals. Also, what makes something “casual?” This isn’t very much a casual game even if the IP has become casually known collectively but specially on hard I haven’t tested much below normal. It requires a good degree of thought and careful puzzle planning goes into getting the most you can and a lot times even progressing. You haven’t even played the game and if you have you haven’t gotten far

I’ve played for a couple of hours on the Ps5 and my answer to this is “absolutely”

Seriously do you ever post anything that’s constructive or has any degree of thought behind it? Like, I know you’re technically capable of it in theory I’ve seen you do it with baseball

There we have it folks. The answer to the guys question is yes but they have absolutely no idea why or the pauses behind why it might be worth considering if it’s right for his specific child. I can post achievements data about how many people people have even upgraded a piece a gear, grown each type of plant in their room of requirement (which is essentially when the whole scope of the game is available to you) and spoiler it’s 1%.
No one here knows what the frick they are talking about. Which is fine except they pretend to act high minded and above it all when they’re just idiots
