Startropics on the NES (maybe it was big? I just don't know many who have played it).
-Harvest Moon on the N64.
-Eternal Darkness on the N64.

Absolutely. Also, Harvest Moon: Back to Nature on PS1 (PS3) is great as well.

I ended up beating it all. It was a Rare collectathon dressed as a shooter though but damn, the guns had some variety and the characters were so much fun to play. I mean, how do you beat a flying dog?

Here's one I never see brought up - Enchanted Arms on the 360.

It's a grid-fighting RPG, and you capture the monsters you fight against and use them on your team, somewhat pokemon-esque.

The character creation might take you 8 hours.

The game has a fairly daunting numbers of options. Might want to get an idea what type of character you want to play and then find a guide to plan out your leveling a bit.

I went with a fairly generic ranger because I didn't understand what half of the options meant.

Cool, thank you for the tip! I'll see if I can find a guide for newbie character creation before I start out.
