Help with the switch. Christmas question

So I'm getting the kids a switch. What Mario brothers for the switch is most like the original or super Mario for SNES. They like those two and Mario kart.

Mario Bros U Deluxe is the most like an original Mario game.

Mario Odyssey is like Super Mario 64 on steroids.
My 5 year old niece is going ham with that game. Make it almost impossible to lose in that game.

I would buy the switch with the new Mario cart 8. You can get the old Mario cart and super mario in the SNES online store after you buy the switch.
I have a question: some of the black friday packages has SNES store in the included listing. Does this mean you don't have to pay the first 20 bucks yearly?

I just got a Wii and installed homebrew for those.

Odyssey is on par with 3D World, very fun but the difficulty level is low in my opinion. The world is fun to explore and there are tons of collectibles if you like that sort of thing.
