Good morning space cadets, what is the status of our peace keeping efforts in galaxy? I've recently launched a few ICBMs.

I'm really struggling with taking down Chargers on "Challenging" Terminid missions.
What's the best way to take these dudes down before you get access to the Railgun?
The Recoilless Rifle is so slow to reload without a second person helping (and it's not always easy to get assistance when things are so chaotic on the battlefield), so does that mean EATs are the way to go?

I have no good solution. I'm on Hell Dive difficulty and they're still a pain in the arse. I'm running heavy orbitals bc I deal with multiple bile titans.
My style is very run and gun and I dont waste a slot on special weapon bc the auto shotgun is really strong. I don't perch on a spot and take pot shots either. I have the laser watch dog, 2 orbitals, and a slot for either mortar turret (which will take down the chargers for me as Im running around) or the auto cannon turret (which does the same thing but needs line of site).

Any early tips?
-always stay mobile. unless your waiting on an objective timer and there is literally nothing around you staying still will get you killed.
-if you havent done it yet rebind your stratagem keys on PC so you can que strats on the run
-prioritize getting weapons and the bonus modifiers from your requisitions
-if youre at the level where stalkers are in the game watch your back every so often. they can out run you and will shred you quickly. find and eliminate their hive asap
-laser rover is gonna be your best friend for a long time. dont bother with the gun rover
-learn enemy squishy bits. for example, in the bugs, its usually the legs, not the head.
-if you hold reload, you have options to change your gun parameters. this can quickly change a guns effectiveness.
-if you are hard defending a position and cant be mobile and using a sentry, climb on top of it. will prevent you from getting mowed down and will help direct you to incoming adds.
-try to have a good balance of stratagems. having at least one good eagle strike is great since they can be used so frequently. to me, the ship module upgrades for eagle strikes is one of the most important ones early on.
anything in particular you struggling with?

Appreciate the feedback

I'll be curious to see if Chargers get nerfed (or if a change is made so more weapons can penetrate their armor). Seems like the weapons/stratagems probably need more balancing (and armor values need to actually work), but (rightfully so) the devs are focused on server issues.

SG-225 Breaker as primary
my personal favorite
I haven't made it to that, still under level 10. My fave thus far though is the SG-8 Punisher Shotgun. This thing is a beast for lowbies like myself.
It can one-shot the trash mobs from any range up to ~10 feet from being on the edge of visibility (those outside the range will take two shots) and reloading it doesn't mean ejecting a magazine even if it has ammo left. I would love to be able to designate it as primary while making my Liberator my secondary (instead of the pistol).

Your life will change when you unlock the SG-225 Breaker. It's just insane.

Yeah, the secondary weapon options are severely lacking right now.

I am definitely going to buy this game. I don't have a single IRL friend that I know of who has a PS5, so I've been trying to convince a couple to betray the Xbox gang. It sounds like trying to get into a lobby on your own still isn't working great.

I played for a couple hours last night and had no problems matching with randoms using the quickplay feature, and even this past weekend when that feature was broken, everyone on the subreddit and Discord were sharing their player codes so that we didn't have to rely on quickplay.

Yea Quickplay seems to be fixed finally.

I downloaded it, but haven't started yet. Let me know and I'll run with you.

Yea I’m getting in no problem today. Looks like they added an inactivity timer to kick afk peeps.

Have you tried the autopitol? The burst damage with it is pretty good. Granted it doesn't last long but I've found it be useful in a tight spot when my primary goes 'click'.

Is this game worth buying a PS5 for? Because I’m thinking about buying a PS5 for it

Works great now, for up to level 5 or so. I'm on level 7 now and I can only get in games with one other person, and it's just impossible with 2 people.

I jumped into some already-in-progress runs tonight. Nothing like getting in there a minute before extraction

Due to real life getting in the way, I had to log out and back in a few times tonight. At no time did I hit a queue so it looks like that inactivity timer is doing some solid work.

Are you talking about the P-19 Redeemer? That's what I use as my secondary and I agree the burst damage is great, I just wish the clip was bigger and they gave us more than 4 clips

When you join a rando game with people either already in their pods or already in a mission, is there a way to figure out what mission it is and what the difficulty is?
I see something that says "Mission Brief" but it's always greyed out, so I have no idea what to put in my loadout (e.g., whether I need a Recoilless Rifle because we'll be dealing with Chargers).
