If you are dying fast that just means you suck (and I am horrible at MP). TTK is nothing like COD.

I’m a Halo noob so excuse the dumb question, but how do I use different weapons in my loadout? Do you just have to find them within the level?

Vanguard has a time to kill of 88 ms on a sub machine gun right now. And sub 100 ms on a number of other automatic guns.
I wish the the time to kill on COD was close to this.

I played about 10 games last night. Ended up playing mostly ranked arean (solo/duo que with controller only). Halo players who never stopped playing will kill you before you get a chance to do anything. That's why I love Halo. The outplay ability is so rewarding when you do it to other people. When it happens to you, you tend to break things. I like it.
I tried to use the pistol in quick play. It is NOT the Halo 5 pistol. Figured that out real quick. BR TTK seems a little quick but I think its a 4 shot. I would rather have a 5 shot start but Oh well. Seems fun. I'll play more tonight for sure.

It’s kind of frustrating not to have a dedicated slayer playlist. Or SWAT. Hope that gets fixed quickly.

I played 5 ranked solo/duo controller games myself and did pretty well. I love the in-depth stats with shots fired, accuracy, damage done/taken, etc. Shows who’s actually doing work during the match.

I would imagine that from now until December 8th they are treating it like a beta. Then they will have more playlist. I do like having ranked. Getting stomped in pubs because you are new to the game would kill the player base. I think ranked in Halo is more important than just about any other console shooter. The skill gap is just so wide.

Yeah you can be new at COD and hid in a doorway scoped in at a door and get some kills. That doesn't work in Halo. Nade and head shot and you are dead. Halo makes you learn how to throw nades, pick fights, how to escape and how to shoot to actually get a kill. It takes a while but it's so damn rewarding when you have that one game where you go off.

Played 4 games late last night and enjoyed it. Played Big team. Did pretty well. Game is fun. I like the movement, closer to some of the older Halos. Yes there is sprint, but it is not absurdly fast. Seems to be a happy medium between 3 and the modern stuff.
TTK seemed pretty long to me compared to other games. You have to unload the AR into someone. Some weapons shred though. Game looks good.

I'll be honest I only played 1 quick play game. I'm used to playing H5 and just auto flipped to the pistol the first half of the game. That was a mistake. I didn't really play a lot with the AR. BR in ranked was fine. Little quicker TTK on a starter weapon than I am used too but that may be closer to how ranked was back in H3 with a BR start.
I do feel like the wall weapons are underwhelming. There just isn't a need for them. Combo has its purpose. The bullfrog hits like a water gun, even up close. Didn't really experiment with anything else.
