I've been on it for years and still use it. I just took way too much and it fricked with the way my body produces dopamine and serotonin. Have you ever went a few days without taking your meds and felt lethargic and unmotivated? Yeah, That's how I felt all the time due to being over prescribed and overdosing everyday. I was taking two 70mg vyvanse a day and on nights I wanted to game I would take up to 4-5 70mg vyvanse in 24 hours and not even break a sweat.

Actually, since starting the meds in February 2009, I have maybe missed 1 or 2 days of not taking it. It's a crutch of mine that I'm not proud of, but it was only after barely graduating from college that I decided to go see a doctor. It's changed my life in a positive way so much that I don't even want to think about life without it.

4-5 70mg in a day sounds insane, but I guess your body can adjust to it pretty easily. I started off at 30mg, but after a few a months it was pretty clear I needed a higher dose. I'm a pretty big guy too so that may have something to do with it. I've been taking 70mg in the morning and a 30mg in the afternoon. I don't take the 30mg every day. And sometimes I will take two 30mg pills at night for either an all-night gaming marathon, or if I have to pull an all-nighter for work (which happens a few times a year).

Also, I will admit that I don't really believe in ADHD, but I sure as hell believe in these meds.

I think there's some healing going on in these waters.

I depend on mine for work but I just couldn't deal with the fact that I didn't have control anymore. I couldn't function without my meds. I'm a lot better now. I skipped yesterday and still got up and out and spent time with my wife and went shopping and shite. But you have to be careful...that shite is steroids for productivity

I have one final confession. I have 2 gamertags. One that I play professionally on a competitive circuit and one that I pretend that I'm terrible with you guys.

Before I clicked, I expected this thread to be only about lighthearted confessions about not finishing a game, breaking controllers, etc., but shite got real pretty quickly.

I'm waiting for Coyote to join in and confess that he has $30,000 in credit card debt because of all the computer parts he buys, and he can barely make the minimum payments.
