Yep, picked up an EVGA 1070ti myself. They have the 90 day step up program that way if you want a 11xx series card you can pay the difference for the upgrade.

That only works if the gpu is available 90 days from purchase. Buying one now and getting in the program does no good if the next series releases in 6 months.

So you think I can wait 6 months after I already started purchasing stuff? You cray cray.

No I'm saying if the new series comes out more than three months after you buy this one, you can't exchange the old one through the step up program.

I know but your are saying to wait 6 months most likely. I'm just saying its hard once I start buying. In reality, I'll probably just dump a bunch of money next week instead of waiting.

That's my recommendation. This platform is on it's way out. And I get that. It's the main reason I've not starting buying parts. I hate the idea of not having a full upgrade.

Yeah I know it's only 90 days but I figured if the new series was coming out this year they would show it by October.

Problem is it isn't just figuring out 90 days from release. The gpu also has to be in the program. If it takes another month after release to get it in the program, it makes it that more unlikely to determine if you'll get it through the program.

I like the concept. Just too many variables for me to be comfortable with it.

Good pick, 3000 is the sweet spot for DDR4. I got 2 sticks of 8GB Corsair Vengeance. Ripjaw would be a little bit cheaper. Check CAS and timing too.

Nice. The 20% isn't going on right now though. It will probably be over by the time Ebay does it again.

I really wish NVIDIA would announce the next gens release date so the 10xx can go down or get prices on the 11xx.

Dang. You got me hooked on looking there now.

Is this a great deal for a SSD or should I just wait?

I would ask for the drive time hours, but $40 is a decent price. I got my last 256gb SSD for $55 brand new a few weeks back off of Wally world
