Gonna be an ongoing Q&A while I pick and choose parts on deals. I upped my budget as I forgot I had a bunch of stuff I could sell that I no longer need. Going to be waiting primarily on Ebay 20% off and deals greater than 20%.
Currently have
CPU: i7 8700K (319 on Ebay)
Mouse: Logitech G502 ($27.45 with Ebay 25 off 119)
Keyboard: Corsair K70 RGB Rapidfire ($77.5 with Ebay 25 off 119 and Refurb)
MOBO: AsRock Z370 Extreme4 ($112 with Newegg 20% off + 20 MIR)
Memory: G.Skill RipJaws V 3200Mhz CAS 16 (155 on Newegg)
PSU: EVGA 750W Gold (Free with bundle on EVGA)
GPU: GTX 1080 FTW (530 with free PSU and cable management on EVGA)
Storage: 3TB 7200Rpm HDD (60 from Newegg)
Storage: 256GB NVME SSD Intel 760P (85 on Newegg)
Monitor: Alienware 25 240Hz monitor (250 from Best Buy)
Case: Fractal Design Meshify C (75 on Newegg)
Cooling: Corsair H100i V2 (68 on Newegg Refurb)

There's a $25 off $119+ on eBay right now. Not a bad deal to take advantage of

Lol I created the thread in the Tech board and said it in my OP.
I plan to use that on another account for possibly storage.
Is the NVMe/PCIe worth it over SATA?
Also, the Intel CPU's say Memory Type support of DDR4-2666. Does this mean I can't really run RAM above this? (I think I figured it out and it's based on MOBO. I got one that is 4333)

Get a 1080ti and go with the 8700k

Picked up an ASUS ROG Strix Z370-E on Prime yesterday for $150. Still, so much stuff to buy.

Some people say yes, but I don't. I would rather spend the money on a larger sata SSD.
I only have a 1tb SSD in my build bc I don't feel like dealing with HDDs

I think the NvMe to the Sata SSD is like the Ford Platinum is to the Ford Lariat. I second the above poster's sentiment.

I'm going to be using Plex servers too so I need a high capacity HDD (2+ TB)

Trying to stay around the $400 dollar range with 20% in addition when Ebay does it.

Newegg is having a deal today also.
Ebay is doing the 25 off 119. You can do a few things and reach the 119. Wait on the rest when Ebay does the 20% off.

Interesting. You'll likely see a hit to your gaming performance if you stream and play at the same time

Not like that. I'm thinking that if I download movies or tv shows that I can stream them to my phone or FireTV. It wouldn't be while I was gaming.

Honestly, I wouldn't buy a gpu right now. I'm waiting for the 1100 series before I upgrade.

I thought about that but when the hell are they coming out? There was a lot of speculation that it was in July.

I would expect info soon with release by end of year.
