It should be taught as the what not to do standard in colleges for video game launches.

There have been bigger abortions from other developers.

Which ones? Just interested because I never touched the Mass Effect series but that's all I heard about was how bad that was. It was to the point where people said it hurt their complete feelings about their original Mass Effect play-throughs.

You seem surprised. We are the vocal minority when it comes to loot boxes. When it comes to people's wallets, i know a guy that spent $300 on VC for 2K this year. U can tell by the number of John Wick skins running around fortnite that gamers will always spend money on their favorite games, even for loot that doesn't affect gameplay

Dragon Age Inquisiton
Idk about this one. IMO Dragon Age went nothing but downhill from Origins. The garbage plot they created when they rushed DA II for a cash grab is what put Inquisition in a bad place plot-wise in the first place. There are great aspects to it, but plot and character development-wise, nothing touches Origins.

Look, I won't say that Andromeda was as good as the original three, and it certainly didn't live up to the hype.

The plot was kind of a letdown. I felt like they could've done more with the theme of exploring a whole new galaxy, but they really didn't introduce much other than one or two new alien races. It did set the groundwork though for future stories that we may never get now thanks to bad word of mouth that I feel like this game unfairly received.

It had some bugs and rough edges (character animations lolz), but it was a perfectly playable game. It's a lot like Dragon Age Inquisition as a third person shooter for better or for worse.

Sim City 2013, Diablo 3, Halo MCC, GTA Online, AC Unity all launched in a worse state. You couldn't even play Sim City, Diablo 3, or GTA Online on launch day due to server connectivity issues. Unity was a broken, glitchy mess that had the worst framerate of any game I've ever played on PS4 (until I played MX vs ATV All Out before the day one patch).

Kingdom Come: Deliverance released a couple months ago and seems to get a pass because it's from a small developer. It does come from a big name publisher though (Deep Silver), and they are asking $60 yet that game was the buggiest disaster I have ever seen and is literally the only game I have ever flat out stopped playing because I got tired of the bugs.

Mass Effect is my favorite series of all time. 1 and 2 are 2 of the best games of all time. 3 before the ending is on par with both. Most hate 3 because they feel the "each choice affects the outcome" wasn't really true. But the story all 3 told are great and depending on the final mission of 2 there's a bunch of character changes in 3. You need to play it.

Well Casey Hudson left because they wouldn't let him make ME:A the way we wanted them came back for Anthem so that gives me hope he has control over this game

Depends if you're easily triggered / whiny.

If you don't insist every character look like a supermodel in a bikini, it's a great game.

If I’m not mistaken, it was co-developed by Westwood and EA Pacific.

Okay that makes sense.

EA literally is the worst, they have sucked the soul out of so many good gaming studios....
-Tiburon (purchased in '98)
-Westwood ('98)
-Hypnotix ('03)
-Headgate ('06)

Just to name a few.
