Does anyone ever struggle to have enough patience to learn new games after having put a lot of hours into a previous game that you’ve pretty much played all the way through? It feels like that old game everything was second nature, but in every new game you try, every move feels like a struggle. How can you tell if the controls for the game itself are awkward and clunky or you are?

I’m just ranting. I put a lot of time into FFXV over the past few weeks since I got my PS4. I beat the story mode then went back and have finished what feels like the overwhelming majority of the side quests and monster hunts. I feel like I need to start on one of the other games I have, but every time I try, I just get so frustrated trying to do the simplest things. Any wisdom that could help?

I started Bloodborne recently and quit after about a week. As I feared, its not good difficult, its frustrating difficult. I have little desire to play it now.

That’s sad. Bloodborne was one of the games on my list to try.
The two games I screwed around with tonight are Mafia III (where driving sober in the game was even more difficult than driving drunk in New Orleans in real life) and Kingdom Come: Deliverance

I played FF7-11 and tried the new one and it was a no go.

Wanted to break my fricking PS4 after playing Bloodborne for a few days. Once I got
“It” and found a weapon that suited me, it was much better.

please god, give it another shot. it is THE killer app for PS4. Once it clicks with you, you won't find more satisfying gameplay. one of the best worlds ive ever played.

No map, no real story, no clue where to go. They make it extremely difficult to even upgrade your character. Its just not worth it. I went back to Witcher 3 on a higher difficulty and its much better.

It's not for everybody, but I put it down for two years. Like you, I was insanely frustrated. When it was free on PS plus I decided to try again. For some reason it all just clicked eventually and I couldn't stop playing. One of my favorite games ever.

Just remember it's not a button masher. Take your time and try to isolate the bad guys and take em on one on one. And there's a spot early on with two ogres that is great for practicing how to parry.

I never recommend any soulsbourne games to any of my friends. I'm not going to be the reason they waste $60 bucks. Most gamers don't like games like that. They feel like it's a waste of time to maybe attempt a boss 30 times and not get past it in an entire night of playing.

I absolutely love all of them, just not games I recommend.

Witcher 3 shits on BB so you're fine.

To each their own. To me, there's way more satisfaction in actually challenging bossfights. If you play it for 3 hours and don't get it one day, it just makes the time you do beat it that much sweeter. I've personally never had an experience like that with a Souls game, but there were definitely a couple of bosses that took me about an hour.

Stalin, if you can play Witcher on B&BB or Death March, you can play BB. Just give it some time

Your avi kills me every time. I almost picked y’all in the “what’s the worst you’ve felt for a team you don’t support” thread on MSB. Will never forget that. Those poor kids prob wake up every day and think of that botched play

I'll be honest, it still sucks. It probably will always suck. I told the team board this was my avi until Arkansas won a natty in something.

Out of sheer curiosity, who beat that out for you?

Butler losing to Duke in the NCAA Tournament. I was sad for like a week and have been a Butler fan ever since that tournament. Love their brand of basketball

I lean Duke on the Duke-UNC charts so that one didn't tear me up much, but I feel you on being a fan of those Butler teams. I liked them but lost interest after Brad Stevens left. Knew Boston had hit the jackpot before he ever coached a game in the NBA. Dude's good.
