after logging tons of hours into the beta, i really think 1v1 and 2v2 are where this game shines most. i was almost sick of the game after doing 4v4 elimination challenges, but got on the pc version (i've been strictly ps4) to play one of my friends that has been playing. we mustve played 30 rounds of 1v1 and it was fun every round. i'm gonna buy it day 1, but its gonna be a game that you have to take a break from now and then. i'm confident the competitive scene will be around for 2+ years tho and i dont wanna be behind the curve by waiting months for it to go on sale to save $20

I hated using the bumper and trigger buttons for the attacks. I would have liked to have been able to map the buttons myself.

Had a lot of fun playing the Beta, but the re-playable factor will keep me from buying this game day 1. Possibly would buy for around $30 or so, but not much more. Ubisoft has to figure out how to improve that side of it's online games. Siege was the same way for me. Great game, but got old after a couple months and just couldn't ever pick it back up.

What kind of replay-ability are yall looking for in a primarily pvp game?

Seems like the customization and upgrades are rather robust which is where most people have issues in these primarily multiplayer games.

I'm going to wait until the price drops. It's fun, just not going to drop $60 on it.

Ubisoft gonna Ubisoft...$60 game, $40 season pass, and on Day 1 they introduce a $30 upgrade to unlock everything and completely skip the leveling/progression.

Pay to win, P2P servers...2017. Never change Ubi.

Fellas, does this game have a campaign at all? Or is it just PVP fighting?

not pay to win at all.

you cant skip leveling. unlocking all the feats might save you about 5-6 hours but those feats are only usable in dominion and elimination. and the later unlock feats arent always better than the starting ones. plus i promise if someone buys all the feats for a character they are still gonna suck with him unless they have put in the 5-10 hours they would normally spend unlocking feats playing him

what game doesnt have season pass these days is what i'm wondering?

You can unlock all the gear in the entire game for every character with a simple $30 microtransaction that would otherwise take tons and tons of hours to do. Definitely makes it pay to win in half the modes.

For about 2 hours and realized how shite it was and another Ubi failure yes.

So you are saying this is incorrect and you can't skip the progression with a simple microtransaction? Sure is a ton of hate on the game for no reason then I guess. LINK

yeah. its people bitching about nothing.

the way feats work is you have 4 per character. the first 4 are unlocked and you unlock 2 more you can swap out for each spot, so 8 total. the 3rd one isnt always better than the first and you unlock one every time you level up pretty much. the last one being level 19.

during each match you game points based on how you are performing and level up and unlock a feat each time you level up. (so even if you buy this $30 feat thing, you still wont be able to use those feats at the start of a match, you have to play well)

but you will unlock all the feats on each character in about 5 hours of playtime.

feats have nothing to do with gear or leveling.

to get gear beyond your basic shite gear that only goes up to level 6 you have to reach level 20 and buy crates to get rare gear that you can level up to 12 gear score. the gear will do things like up your attack damage but lower 2 other attributes.

even maxed out gear only adds around 20% to whatever stat it is for and is only usable in dominion and elimination mode. 2v2 and 1v1 has no gear stats or feats

until you realize feats arent important, and you would unlock them in the normal time it takes to learn how to use a character anyway.

so during the time a guy has the advantage of unlocking all his feats he isnt gonna know how to play the character well enough to use it (unless he spent 10+ hours on that character in the beta) to have an advantage...

half of your feats are something you only get to use once or twice a match anyway, only in dominion/elimination, and only if you are doing well and hit level 3 or 4

i'll put it this way, buying feats is such a laughibly bad advantage that the only people that will possibly buy it are kids thats parents will let them use their credit card for anything they ask for that have no clue how the game/feats system works or people with enough frick u money that they just buy anything they think could give them an advantage, however slight it may be..

some people will buy it just because it costs $30 and if you read it you would think, damn thats a huge advantage.

most people will have 75% of feats for their character unlocked in 3-4 hours of gameplay

just think its dumb for people to trash a game as pay to win when you've clearly never played it

i'm sure the other guys on here that played in the beta will come in this thread and agree with me

for people that havent played I guess the closest thing i can compare it to is if Call of Duty had a thing you could buy to unlock all kill streak rewards. you still have to equip them and earn the kill streak. good luck being good enough to call in the 15 kill streak reward in your first 5 hours of gameplay. except this game actually only takes 3 or 4 hours to unlock them whereas reaching max level in call of duty took me a lot longer
