I wish the special edition wasn't sold out on Amazon. Awakening was great and I'm glad they decided to continue the series.

IGN Reviews are up.
Conquest scores a 9.5
Birthright scores a 9.4

I'm still rocking the regular 3ds, really want to upgrade to 3ds XL.

I have the LE from Best Buy. Not sure if I want to resell or play it.

If someone were to buy the Hardcopy (say conquest), could someone borrow it and buy the digital version (birthright) for their own console for the $20? Or do you have to have the game in the console to use the digital add on.

It's worth a shot, but I wouldn't be surprised if needed to have the other cartridge in to allow you to play it.

Amazon won't give me a delivery estimate on my preorder

I tried to cancel and pick it up in town but they won't give me that either

They tell you at least 3 times before you start that birthright is easier than conquest

Was there ever any doubt?

There was lots of talk about Awakening being the last game in the series.

Ahh I don't keep up with the DS or handhelds.
I thought these games sold well and had a good fanbase. Seems like they have been around forever.

I did play Awakening all the way through. Really enjoyed it.

LINK

It is a really good series, but definitely kind of niche. Awakening was very well received (I thought it was fantastic) and sold well enough for Nintendo to green light another entry in the series.

If Awakening didn't sell so well, it would have been the last in the series. The game was much easier than some of the past games and they went with a more anime style. The changes made with pairings broadened the appeal of the series.

Fates has a more casual version like Awakening (Birthright) and a more traditional version (Conquest).

You need the cartridge to play the other version if you buy the other game in game. They classify it as DLC technically. Or that's how they explained it to me.

Got conquest and it is a fantastic game so far. The missions are fun. Playing on hard and classic mode makes it a real challenge where you really have to think out every move.
