Give up now. The game really isn’t good. Plays ridiculously slow and certain basic features (fishing) are locked behind hours of slow gameplay. Get ready to tap A and drive a horse for 60 hours. Don’t bother with online. Arthur is a boring character. So much more is wrong with the game. Yes I’m pissed. I was tricked into buying this game and sold false hopes

Yup. Said it before, but RDR2 is bar none the most overrated game of the year and possibly of the decade. A whole bunch of meh wrapped in beautiful graphics.

Find Gavin

I was out in the middle of nowhere hunting for hawk and eagle for feathers when that fricker showed up. I killed his arse for screwing up my hunt. I thought that was the end of him but the game resurrected him.

I love the game, but it's not for everyone.

You're not the hero, you can't Sprint across the map in 8 seconds, there aren't any crazy weapons or aliens to blast away at.

It's all about the details and immersion for me.

If you can't take it slow, go play COD

You can fix meals, do laundry, and common core homework with your kids during cutscenes.

I'm usually with you here.

But this game is boring. Might give it another shot sometime in the future.

Literally everything in this post is false or just flat out wrong

Except for the part about the online mode sucking.. but I haven’t played online since the release so maybe it’s better now, better now. I only say that cause you’re not around, not around. You know I never meant to let you down, let you down, woulda gave everything.....

it had some great moments and quality setpieces, but it peaked way too early and fell way short of expectations. doesnt hold a candle to RDR1

The game is so well done I want to like it.

It just isn't fun to play. Crazy thing is this game is my type of game on paper. But something isn't quite right.

Man your post history is a sad assortment of a guy trying and failing to be edgy. Its truly cringeworthy. Well done.

GTA online was pretty bland for a good six months to a year. It takes awhile for the content on online rockstar games to get going in my experience.

Yea I’ve heard that before. I’ll probably give it a shot down the road at some point. I enjoyed RDR2

I am at 10% completion and I have to say I do like it.

It is for sure a slow paced game, but I like that I can just kill some time with it.

At this point it might take me 6 months to get through it

A huge thanks for the cinematic travel tip.

One thing to keep in mind, there's two different endings depending on your honor level. You'll have opportunities to get your honor up towards the end if you want the high honor ending, but it'll be a little tougher to get if your honor bar is completely empty late.

oh buddy for all i know it could be a she. i assumed the frick outta that gender.

As far as online goes the way GTA5 panned out we were looking at an entirely different game 2-3 years after launch.

Don't go down an alley with a dude in New Orleans. He's going to Rob you of most (if not all) your money

Yeah, it is pretty awesome. The lack of fast travel to some places does get old. But playing it on cinematic to return back to camp is fun.

I should be playing this on my Xbox X, but instead have been playing on my orig Xbox One hooked up in the movie room. It is like watching an old Western movie sometimes

I have been reading through that 80 page thread. Through page 50ish and everyone seems to still love the game, but based on this thread it might change

I dont think I ever fast traveled or used a train. I just focused on areas I was in and didnt explore until after the story eas over. I loved the game, but it took over a month to beat it. It was like a movie I got to participate in. I was genuinely heartbroken during one part. The story is that good to me. I guess its not for everybody, but it's beautiful and has 100s of hours of gameplay..
