The fewest darts you can possibly win with is 6. (5 triple 20s = 300, then 1)

im about 6 hrs in. already not diggin the story changes, seems really unnecessary so far. will give it the benefit of the doubt for now.
combat is getting really fun. ive enjoyed some of 1v1 moments, but i havent gotten into the mechanics with a full party yet, and im a little worried it will just be way too chaotic.
all that said, this game is awesome so far.

They changed Tifa's "Dolphin Blow" limit break to "Dolphin Flurry."
I suspect it's because of how badly Team 4 Star made fun of it in their Machinabridged series.
If that's the case, I really hope they have Yuffie singing her extremely irritating rendition of the Gold Saucer theme in part 2.

There aren't any story changes of any significance until Chapter 12 and even those can be interpreted as minor based on what happened in the original and what wasn't examined closely.
Prior to that, they greatly expand the story between different events.
Example: In the original, you walked into Reactor 5 with Cloud, Tifa and Barrett and fought the Airbuster.
In the Remake, you have to take the time to get from Sector 7 to Sector 5, mostly on foot, gain access to the reactor, sabotage the Airbuster so that it doesn't kill you, THEN after fighting your way through a massive building do you fight the Airbuster.
Think of it as a 90-minute movie stretched out across 4 seasons of HBO.

Also, you're leaving out Jessie, Scarlet, Yuffie, Elmyra (who looks really good in this for a woman in her 50s), Kylie and Madame M.

Been so busy I've only been able to put a couple of hours in. Currently doing all the side quests in chapter 3. Love it so far but I keep having to remind myself not to play it like a hack and slash and lay off the square button a little

Yep. Played a little bit last night and actually got to sit down a few consecutive hours on it today. Saved at beginning of CH4 right before talking to Barrett to board train.
I still haven't been disappointed. I've double and triple checked every area and tried to talk to every npc I could to make sure I missed nothing along the way. Completed all the hunt missions thus far.
Working on the scanning quest for the odd kid that creates materia, but it looks like that'll be an ongoing quest for quite a while. Quickly warming up to combat and upgrade system.
Definitely want to be temporarily digitized to give Tifa the best three minutes ever.

When he generates Summon Materia, you have to defeat the summon before you can use it.

Y'all i know I'm the biggest FF/Square fanboy on this site by far and FF7 IS my all time favorite game but I cannot believe how good this is.
The lighting and visuals are just unreal, I love seeing Midgar how it was supposed to look.
The gameplay/battles is a perfect mix from KH/FFXV/FF7. Boss fights are just exhilarating
materia is done really well, I guess my only complaint is the summons so far but even those are way better then FFXV.
The story changes (so far) keep it fresh and not a frame-by-frame, beat-by-beat rehash of the story while still keeping the main beats and feel, plot of the orginal. I think they did a great job so far. I would have saved Sephiroth until a bit later before the reveal, but I get why they did it that early.
