I just made it to disc 2 on IX. Ozma is starting to get worried.

I remember disc 1 of IX like the back of my hand. Still remember who to still from in order to get a head start on weapon skills (Baku has the Mage Masher!).

I really hope the PS1 FFs get a HD remaster treatment or something similar to what DQ7 (PS1) is getting on the 3DS.

8 is my favorite by far. I remember wanting squall to kick the shite out of siefer. it also has the best story to me. 2 and 3 are pretty good. X is ok because of blitzball.

never played 7 or 9.

I liked X best, and think X and 7 were the more defining games of the series.

I also have little doubt that Final Fantasy is definitely the most overrated RPG there is.

I would have started off with IV.

If you ever get around to it, the DS remake or PSP complete collection are the versions to play.

I strongly disagree. IV, VI, VII, IX, and X are 5 of the best RPGs of all time in my opinion.

I guess it is your taste though, I don't get into all of the western style RPGS like Skyrim.

Me too.
I just learned the ragtime mouse save/load trick and the joystick jerk trick after finding him. Making that way easier, then the old way I used to do it.

I want to buy VII and IX. Never played them. Could buy the PSN version, but I have a thing about having actual discs so ill probably buy the hard copies off amazon.

You can still find IX and VIII pretty easily. I know Square was still printing new copies of the Greatest Hits version not too long ago.

I have probably beaten IX 7, or 8 times, and never once completed all of the Ragtime Mouse encounters.

Yea it really is a pain. But if you know these tricks it makes it much easier and less time consuming.

Yeah, you can find them new/used on amazon for 15-30$. Just haven't gotten around to buying them because I've been playing others.

I have both Lunars on PS1, but I heard that the Sega CD version is superior in ways. It may just be people who played it first in Sega CD liked it more.

But the PSP version of the first is the one you should play.
