The Name Final Fantasy" is a cash grab. What the hell connects one Final Fantasy to another other than the name "Final Fantasy".

Edit: x3 speed is there so it should help the ones who complain about battle speed.

Final Fantasy IX may be the best Final Fantasy game that no one will admit is the best in the series.

For me it goes X, IX, VI, VII, the rest for my favorites.

FFX is the best in the series, the artwork that it had was fantastic for the time when it came out. FFII/IV is a close second.

Its pretty wild how much 9 is praised on here.

Really sucks going back and playing 7, 8, and now 9 for that reason. FFX HD has high res pre-rendered backgrounds. Why can't the older titles?

Probably because they don't have the original art backed up and it would be too much work to update.
They seem to only have the 320x240 native that was playstation.
I guy did find some of the original ff 9 art before they downscaled for ps1. Looks amazing.

8 was my favorite. I liked 9 but the characters were the most goofy and kiddy out of all the final fantasys IMO. It was a light hearted FF
I also think it was the hardest, it was the only one I never finished

Apparently Square dropped the ball with controller support on this one. Everytime I try to use my ps3 controller my character keeps going to the right, seems to be a pretty widespread problem.

I've read that people we're playing with the 360 controller, but having problems with the One controller. I don't have a xbox so I couldn't try it out. Apparently, a modder has released a mod for it. I couldn't get it to work though.

Eh, I can understand issues with a Playstation controller as those aren't officially Xbox fame pads, but Xbox one controller should work

So I've been playing this. I just got to "Disk 2." There's so much in this game that you can miss without following a guide.
That's my only complaint thus far. I feel like I'm going to be ridiculously underpowered if I just follow the storyline
