But I have played them all. So what’s your point?

Obviously.
But he is right in that the combat is slower compared to other big Final Fantasy games. (6,7,8,10). It is a gripe that people have. I didn't really notice it until people pointed it out to me.

But it is far from mediocre. Characters actually have jobs, which I rather over the 7 or 8 systems. The AP skill learning system is one of the best weapon/skill systems.

The characters, world, story and music is where this one shines.

I also grew up with Dragon Warrior and Ultima on NES so I was used to the slower paced, turn based combat.

I mean I played 7,8,9, and X on release....granted I didn’t get around to beating 7 until a few years ago.

9 just had the least appeal to me.

Zindane isn’t that great imo.

Not gonna lie, back in the 90s when I saw that tail I was really disappointed at first .

I mean he isn’t bad but he was created after the plot of the story was written unlike squall and cloud at the time. It was just different for me.

He is certainly goofy looking.
But I am glad his personality isn't depressed, a-hole, angst like Squall/Cloud.
Was much more relatable.

i started it and got to Lindblum before I had to stop (due to crunch on a big project at work)
