Error message when launching WOW...tips to fix?

I decided to give WOW a try, so I started the download for the free trial through Battle.net. Once it's downloaded enough to launch however, this message pops up and won't let me play. Message reads as follows
"Cannot stream required archive data. Please check the network connection."
Any tips would be greatly appreciated, as I really want to try the game out.
Thanks in advance

One of the options on the launcher somewhere has a repair tool. I'd try that

It does redirect me to this "support" page
LINK
I went through the steps and ultimately uninstalled the entire client and re-installed. Same issue, maybe it's the game gods warning me of an impending addiction to WOW lol. Thanks for the help though man.

Completely unrelated. Just got roasted on the main board when someone discovered my poster name was the same as my wow name.

Wow is awful. Consider the error msg a blessing

I would second this. It has went way downhill in the last 6 years. You may enjoy the initial experience though, just make sure you have the time and don't let it affect your school/work.

Big fan of how they integrated Pokemon into it, the pet battles got stale fast though.

Was wondering if you were going to jump back over here.
But your orc does have an orange shirt on. Just sayin.

He got banned for botting in early December in the middle of my gladiator push. Made another acct but never really got back into it. Its surprising how much getting 6 years of work in an account taken away kills your interest.
First time on the gaming board. The thread on the rant prompted me to take a look.

Yeah, I cut ties with it years ago. Around 07. A buddy of mine told me how one day he saw my guy running around. I hadn't touched the game in over a year.
Chinese guy selling off all my equipment. Oh well then.

Yeah hacking got really rampant, I didn't start until '07. You definitely caught the best of the game with vanilla and BC. Wrath was good, Cata and MoP significantly less so.

Yeah, it was an amazing experience running around the original game. After BC I thought to myself "what am I trying to accomplish?" Realized it was time to let it go. Good times while it lasted, but on to other things.

I would try removing and reinstalling. Make sure to run it as admin.
People say it has lost it's luster. I have played since release and I'm considered a "Blizzard Fanboy" I guess. I was never an altoholic but this xpack granted me to branch out and play different things, that's how I keep myself interested outside of raid nights.
WoD is going to change a lot, many people who haven't played in a while or got bored playing are looking forward to it.
ETA.. about the hacking issues, yeah, it got pretty bad at one point. I added my mobile authenticator and never have had problems. Although they go to annoying measures to try to prevent it, changing passwords.. asking for auth. code often etc. I wouldn't worry about it though. All issues I have ran into with friends have been resolved with Blizzard if they actually wanted their stuff back.

I would never tell anyone to not play it (unless they had no free time to invest). It is a very fun game.
